Right, but if you can take down a boss' shield quicker and then switch to your primary to do damage to it, seems like a good strategy.

Yea, I read recently that dmg types will come into play in a much greater capacity later on, to the point where you will want to collect multiple dmg types to take on different encounters.

A weekly rotation of very challenging Heroic Strikes (and the pinnacle Nightfall Strike) use high-level enemies and global modifiers to create challenges that require skill, gear, and sometimes creative character builds to beat.

Modifiers are one of the ways we tweak content we’ve already built. The first modifier is called “Heroic.” Heroic leverages the more difficult version of the encounters, but the second modifier is where we really start to challenge players. Take a modifier like Arc Burn – which increases all damage dealt by Arc Damage by 300%. If you’re a Bladedancer Hunter, you’re about to be an even more destructive force, and everyone else in your Fireteam is going to be scrambling for Arc weapons. But, if the enemies you’re facing also use Arc weapons, they will cut through you like paper.

So checked my Amazon pre-order for the PS4 bundle today and noticed it didn't say "Release Day Guaranteed Delivery" anymore. So I asked my friend who had pre-ordered it after me but had the same Release Day Guarantee if his had changed and it hadn't. So I'm curious if anyone else had this happen to them and if there's anything I can really do at this point so close to launch. I can't get guaranteed release day if I place another order so that's out unfortunately.

Clans are active again (sorta). Reactivated it, but you can't set your clan till you start playing.

Yeah apparently you are a "group" until you have the requisite number of members assigned to each system, then you can be a clan. So it says "PLAYSTATION/XBOX CLAN PROBATION" at the top right now since no one can set their system yet.
