I hit a public event on the moon, but think it was bugged because the targeted mob took absolutely zero damage from anything.

This one was where you have to kill a specific mob before time expires. A fusion rifle point blank to the face didn't move a pixel of a it's life bar, so I was OUT.

Maybe you get Vanguard marks and what not when you fill up a bar or something? I dunno.

I think it specifies the type of PVP so you need to do the first one.

That was for the first one, asked me to do 5 of the first one (forgot the name)

But the one i have said Win 3 Crucible matches (closed my PS4 played enough today but i'll check tomorrow)
