In my day, beating up girls was quite acceptable behaviour.
Pretty good article on espn about this: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=6136707
lol @ the home schooled religious nuts family delivering their eighth child.
girls like this are fucking retarded. slut could have played field hockey or lacrosse or something but instead she does this shit and every dude she rassles has to make this choice.
Bullshit.
If this were the case you should be bitching about how there's womens and mens basketball, or swimming, or volleyball, or track, or soccer, or whatever else. Division of men's/women's sports is a fact of life. And if it weren't there would be barely any women in sports aside from maybe volleyball cause those shorts are damn sexy on a lot of those college chicks and nobody would watch beach volleyball if not for bikini's...or field hockey (because men don't often do it...I'd LOVE to see a man play try to play field hockey at a school where there's only a woman's team...actually does men's field hockey even exist? ). If women could actually compete in professional sports vs men there would be no gender division. Sexist, yes, but it's also reality.
At the same time, is it her fault he wouldn't wrestle her? No. But wrestling is the most physical contact sport there is...and a guy gains nothing by beating up on a girl.
holy lol
Maybe im not versed in the bible well, but where the fuck is the verse that says don't hit women?
More like concept originated from patriarchal 17th century chivalry or the gentleman's guidebook or some shit
also, inb4 feminism class topic for the next 5 years.
There is are multiple reasons to get good at any type of martial arts. Here are two important ones: The first is to become awesome and powerful and to use your powers for your own sense of justice and HONAR. The second is to turn any fight against a serious female opponent into a doujin storyline.
He should have wrestled and 'accidentally' groped her multiple times until he won; in which case she'd have put on a strong face due to being in public but felt humiliated inside. After she requests to have another match against him with no one around, and the same thing happens again- and then end up screwing. This was obviously the best course of action to take.
Also, in regards to hitting women. Christianity has given us a golden rule of sorts: "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." This indubitably means that if a women hits you, you are to hit them back. (Presumably with the same amount of force.)
Respectable is the last word I would use to describe his actions. He's essentially robbed her of a seemingly hard earned chance (one of two in 85 years) at fair competition.
When I took martial arts and went to the world championships, one of my opponents was a female. Who fucking cares? They're in the sport to compete.
This guy clearly didn't want to take the rap in the event that she beat his ass in a sport. I don't believe it says anywhere in any religion that you can't compete against girls in contact sports. I guess every time he played tag or red rover as a kid he was sinning against God.
Fucking retard. There was nothing honorable nor considerate about what he did.
Call me sexist, but I just would have felt bad beating her. This kid was in a lose/lose/lose situation. If he won his friends would make fun of him, if he lost his friends would make fun of him, and if you don't fight you are sexist or an asshole/pussy. I think its fucked up to let him be put in a situation to have to make the choice, make a women's wrestling bracket. I wonder how often they let men participate in the women's sports. If it is ok for women it should be ok for men.
Boy you're a dumb one.
They're not letting her fight boys just to be nice, they're letting her fight boys because she's exceptional. Do you know what exceptional means?
I think it's fucked up that this kid clearly had no respect for his competitor. If you do not have respect for your opponent, you don't deserve to be in any fighting competition.
In almost every fighting sport there are codes, and one of the most important parts of that code is respect for your opponent. She deserved better than this.
So exceptional she got pinned in both of her matches, very impressive. It is a feel good story she qualified, good for her. Unfortunately the rules of nature still apply. In physical contact sports women are out matched against men, they should have their own brackets. Lets throw around insults though to try and make our opinions hold more weight.
I think this story is more an admission that wrestling is gay and a thinly veiled excuse for two guys to grind on a mat and grab each other's crotches.![]()
He definitely could have busted out the most epic wrestling hold of all time.
