Back in the day Odin always averaged like 6k during JP time. So we're basically going back in time to what we've already experienced.

Um, no, I've been on Odin for a really long time now.

And the difference is, there's a shitton less to do now than there was in the past, there isn't enough room to accommodate that many people in one server anymore.

On Odin server i took a stroll thru Ulegerand Range during JP time the other day to finish up some fame. Group fighting Indrik, Buffalo NM, further up Awahondo claimed, ppl fighting T1 near Kur which was also claimed, then Isgebind up the hill. Up near #7 both Khims being fought side by side, with Sissyphus and Omega engaged up the hill. Up by the gears area Levi, Shiva, and both Chariots all being fought at the same time. NA time isnt nearly as bad, less people on or players are just lazy idk, usually we can roam thru any zone without too much competition. On the bright side maybe with a new server joining us we'll see some decent shouts in Port...

Me, but I retired finally in August/September so that does no good. While I don't play anymore, it's sad that the place I've called home since PC NA release will be no more. Had a ton of great memories on Unicorn, rip.

Caitsith is JP dominated. As probably with all servers there are some really dedicated players in both NA and JP; however, I've noticed there are more JP's that get shit done than NA's. That being said the NA's that get shit done get it done right.

On a related note I find it funny that Ragnarok.Ejin is on the Most Viewed Chars section of FFXIAH

So we're moved from 32 to 24 to 16 servers. This may have nothing to do with SE's interest in our enjoyment of the game, and everything to do with reducing overhead. In general, the servers are designed to accommodate over 4000 people logged in at once. If they have two servers with a peak log-in of 2000, it makes sense to combine them I guess?

Let me just remind everyone that a few years ago, SE closed both Bahamut and Odin because they were OVERCROWDED. Yes, the congestion died down, but that's because the population dropped across all servers. Now they want to MERGE servers and drop an entire fucking population of one server into another? Wtf?

I guess to them, the costs of reducing the necessary server upkeep makes up for all the crap ton of people that will be unhappy and quitting over this? So much for a team that actually cared about the people playing their game.

Bahamut was always known for being one of the largest JP servers. It's near impossible to do things at JP time, and even worse we have the haijin type JP that are even around at NA times to piss everyone off.
