Middle School Boys Expelled for Running After-School 'Fight Club'

Nine sixth-grade boys were expelled from a Washington state middle school after officials found out they were participating in an after-school “fight club” to see who was the toughest.

Stewart Middle School administrators discovered the operation after local news station KCPQ spoke to a relative of one of the boys and aired a fight video taken with a cell phone.

A district spokesman told The News Tribune that the group would arrange the fights in a school bathroom or at their Tacoma homes.

Each fight was timed and had varying rules, such as disallowing punches to the face. The news station reported that one student recorded 15 bouts.

The district spokesman said none of the boys’ parents alerted the incidents to school authorities and the length of their expulsions will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

I was going to write something about being pissed that the schools was interfering with children's lives outside of school, but then I caught the part where they were fighting in a school bathroom. So not only were these students fucking dumb with this fight club bullshit, putting themselves at risk by getting KTFO and having their head hit the hard floor or a sink and sustaining head trauma that could lead to brain damage and even death, they were doing it in a school's bathroom. Rule #9234 of fight club: don't fight in your school's bathroom, you fucking retards. The school had every right to expel them. The school could have been sued if one of those kids managed to get themselves gravely injured or die on school property.

Now if this had happened off school property on the children's own time, then I would have been angry. I would still think the kids were dumb as hell for running their own fights, but at that point it's up to the parents to do their jobs.

Awhile back I read a old student handbook that I found, and it said that insulting your teachers when meeting them outside of school was punishable.

Needs more hockey locker boxing. Helmet + gloves, and no other pads, are put on and you proceed to beat the shit out of each other without the worry of breaking hands/faces. Also a good way to take out frustration on the goalie for letting 5 in.

We did that during lacrosse practice a few times. The coach is the one that brought up the idea. Was fun and nobody got hurt and nobody took it the wrong way. We did it out in the middle of the field too. Kids these days...
