I have a complaint. The craziness of rift's spawning. I like the idea of rifts as it breaks up the questing etc but in a zone where there aren't many people participating, it becomes a bit much. I group with my wife and we are both 21 and in Gloamwood. Last night there were quite a few rifts that were in questing areas full of 23-24's etc. While this is ok with a decent group of people, the 2 of us can't handle dealing with them in waves. With that being said, I think they need to tone those back a bit. I also think that it lessens the "coolness" of the rifts if they are spawning every 5 minutes all over the map.
Rifts spawn based on player population in the zone at the current time, right? I may just have been you were away from most of the action where others were rifting.
If that is the case, the people were not showing up in the areas where I was. I was at a quest hub and there was a major rift with a named guy that we all killed but then people went their own ways. After that, there were at least 4-5 rifts where the quest areas were (meaning places I had to go to collect X items or kill X mobs). It has happened a few times and it's a little annoying especially when there aren't enough players to close the rifts or even bother with them.
They are also timed based, regardless of zone population. If the population is lower in the zone then the rifts (i.e. not boss) spawn lower lv and not as many elite mobs. In that case, most rifts can be easily duo'd. I kinda wish major invasions happened more often as doing the achievements can be a pita at times
Which is fucking retarded, because without being able to spam flamespear, warrior is COMPLETELY useless as a ranged dps, which limits them to being melee dps or tanking (and reaver gets nerfed too). I agree that BM is overpowered, but nerfing riftblade for the sake of lower pvp brackets is retarded. Not to mention that riftsurge is broken and doesn't even work on bosses/minibosses

So, clerics shouldn't be able to tank? Because they can heal and do ranged damage, too.
Sticking to such rigid stereotyping hurts the appeal of the soul system. Giving the class a ranged option can work, it's just up to Trion to try.
See, i wouldn't have any issue at all if Flamespear was kept the way it was as long as everything else was brought up to par. By that i mean ranged point builders from rogues as an example. FS pretty much hit for double the damage of Swift Shot which is ridiculous. Couple that with way too much fucking CC and it becomes really unfun for anyone facing them. This is a balancing issue and i have faith once 1.1 goes live that it'll be easier to work towards that balance with other archetypes in future patches. But then i'm a marksman so i have patience for my soul and other rogue souls to be brought up to something other than motif spam and an occasional sap in a dungeon.

if there is something to bitch about, ppl bitch about it. No joke, one thread of a guy bitching that the authenticator is available for Android before the Apple App store.. and he pays good money for AT&T service and doesn't like being treated like a 2nd class citizen.
I liked this thread also: A guy bitching about how the authenticator isn't available for NON-smartphones, &/or ppl w/o a data plan, and how he feels like he is SoL and is open to being hacked and such.. (because there is no other way to get an authenticator amirite?)

That's not really the issue. The issue is armor. How, exactly, would one kill a ranged warrior? I don't get it. You can't kill them with arrows, because armor negates it. Everyone has resists, so spells are right out as well. No warrior that wants to pew pew from a distance ever wants to cover this topic.
A cleric tank has to get in closing distance. A ranged warrior does not. How do you kill them? The only answer I can think of is to force them into close range, but even then, you're fucked. Flamespear was broken not only because of the damage, but because it could be spammed endlessly. Mana drains do not work. Snares aren't gonna stop it. Silence, perhaps, but you still have to KILL a resisted plate warrior while silenced.
Jacking the energy cost of flamespear up would have worked for PVP, forcing the warrior to either run away to recover, or close the gap and use more efficient close-range skills, but PVE warriors would have still whined, even with a bard or chloro around to keep their energy up. There was no win/win situation.
