Killing Hylas/Greenscale in GSB, we know we were first because we have screens/video showing the chat log messages but not the announcement. And yeah, I bug reported it as well.

So on average i'd say when i do t1's or t2's we have either a 3 rogue party or 4 rogue party, and all we see is purple chain. I swear, nothing but fucking chain.

Gotta agree server firsts are such a retarded notion, I don't know why Trion is keeping them in the game (kinda like the Twitter thing).

Why? Do you REALLY need that attention from people you don't know and who will surely not remember you? What I see with that thing WoW started is really an e-peen contest and it just pushes people to rush the content for a few characters appearing on screen for a few seconds.

Dunno. I enjoyed doing the same thing in XI. I have no clue about WoW so meh. I could care less about being remembered as i think that's just a bunch of bullshit. I do care about downing content with people i've been playing with for the last 8 years. Stop overgeneralizing everyone that enjoys what they enjoy into some e-sport loving, e-peen toting, attention whore craving subclass that many of us are not associated with. It's a hobby and nothing more and i like to enjoy it as so.

I will concede that on this specific situation that Jintu is referring to, i wanted the announcement purely for superficial reasons dealing with a competing guild that's lead by an ass who treats his own members poorly!

It's all about the e-peen to need everyone on the server to see everytime you kill for a server first.. only reason to rage at the fact it isnt working

I guess atleast shard first raid encounters are a feat to warrant a server wide annoucement. But when someone gets a random green drop is a little over the top I think.

There isn't a server wide announcement for random green loot.

Pretty sure the only server wide announcements were for the last boss of Expert dungeons, Epic Quests, and Raid targets.

Server wide announcements are for blue & epic loot.. even purchased crafted / vender (rep) stuff. They go under the discovery tab in the achievement menu

Fuck I hate retarded fucking DPS. Tank Expert IT last night, last boss drops tanking shoulders I needed. I hit need, then a few seconds later dumbass fucking warrior hits need, goes opps, and then says I'm sorry, I thought you had purples. And of course he wins the fucking roll. And they would have replaced green fucking shoulders with no toughness. GARHASDFGASDFA

Also, the event got to phase 3 for us. Started then ended right after and gave everyone the achievements and opened river of souls raid haha. I will give Trion's ability to create such a decent game some credit. They seem to be struggling now though.

I know it's only a month or so old, but they put everyones expectations through the roof with their flawless beta testing and perfect headstart. But their final release came in shambles. I am sure this game will be amazing in time to come, but unfortunately I don't want to play a half working game whilst I could be playing a fully established, non buggy and perfectly functional game.

Also, my guild has completely evaporated, most members havn't logged on for weeks. Maybe the game is thriving for other people but for me and my enviroment it's kinda dying.

Exactly how I feel about this game. I still have a lot of fun at 50, but it's simply because I've gotten hold of 4 players that I used to group with and we made a static with all of us. My guild was at 11 50s geared for greenscale when I joined, and now we're only 4 constantly logging on. Every other guild that advertises LEET DUNGEONS N RAIDS is full of both douchebags and people that can't play for shit, so it leaves players struggling to find other skilled players. Just as an example of how much they suck, I've tanked expert KB for one of the usual self-proclaimed "Elite groups" and I was second on the dps charts at 450, while the mage at #1 was doing 650 (3+ mobs trash pulls). The worst of all is they were bragging on vent about their "imba dps" and I simply didn't have the heart to tell them I do 1300 without even trying on trash.

Hopefully Trion gets back on the ball and starts merging servers and fixing shit to put the fun element back into it, so we can have more than 3 groups running experts during primetime.

fuckin lol. it hits 12pm... all we get is a server msg saying "to prepare for the event we are applying a small patch in 25minutes.. expected downtime is 15 minutes" such fuckin epic fail i cant even begin to describe it. They had a week to prepare for this.. an EXTRA week.. and this happens... W.T.F.

I already quit and today is my last day.. i guess this event is gonna make me want to resub /sarcasmoff
