Does your gear suck?
P8 with full consumables and everything melts.

As a rogue blinkblade in guardian phase with a heal on deflect trinket completely rapes the trash on EI.
Short answer? Probably.
Long and short of it, I've been playing and geared as a warrior tank. I've got the full T1 dungeon set for tanking and everything an R3 can get from PvPing minus more favor essences. Do I have a modest set for DDing? Sure. Then we enter the dynamic of warriors largely lacking self-heals and not having the benefit of fighting at range like some who are quick to claim shit melts. Not everyone's been playing since day 1 or is fully pimped out. I'm quite okay with invasions and such in their current incarnations, as studious management of sourcewell defenses can improve kill speed and survivability considerably, but this fodder mob bullshit of having more HP than level 50 elites is just that, bullshit.
The IS I've been getting is going toward further improving my tanking gear. My guild's been dabbling in slivers lately, but I'm still undergeared and trying to knock out what I can on my own with my variable play time isn't helped by this. 160 or so and I'll have the body with 50 toughness, but obviously that doesn't help me kill faster.
They die in about 10-15s on PvP NB/RS build. Granted I am r8 with a relic dagger but ya.
My warrior destroys EI mobs, but then again i'm one of the best geared warriors on our server. Honestly though I like the fact they have a crap ton of hp. Watching Mages/Cleric's QQ about not being able to kill 6 mobs at once made my day.
Coming back and finding EI mob HP even higher made me sad. I know they did some gear revision of late-level stuff, but as someone mostly geared to tank, it didn't exactly improve my kill speed. Really hating the PvP dailies rolling EI as a result. :/
If your a warrior tank or rogue tank, check the class forums. Some people have listed specs for tanks that just faceroll large amounts of mobs with minimal effort. Especially if your a rogue.
The more i play TOR, the more i miss Rift.
Gathering isn't always a quick or expedient option, especially if there are lots of people around. I'm warrior, though, having 4 pieces of the planar conqueror tank set/crystal with set shield/ring and a few (now antiquated) epics from some dungeons. Raiding is seemingly the only real step up for me at this point, but I'm not looking for schedules, drama, or all that larger guilds tend to involve. Just kinda miffed they arbitrarily decided to make things take a little under 15% longer per kill.
Otherwise, I'm running 51 Reaver/15 Paladin/0 Void Knight. It's durable enough for what I do, but on the other hand, I don't want to be trading it for a build where I'm chugging drinks between every fight which seems to happen in my experiments for more damage-heavy specs, kind of defeating the purpose of killing faster.
At present, alternative gear on-hand involves PvP gear I can get at R13. That, mixed with set claymore and some other hit accessories, probably had me a bit above T2 dungeon ready before their revamps. I don't mind slowly working toward another set, but when it basically translates to, "I should've just geared DPS to begin with and not wasted my time on tank gear!" then I see a bit of a problem in offering incentives for people to be tanks since if they want to be more viable outside of party settings, they need to be a bit greedier on loot claims. This, paired with Warriors having no real support or healing souls, kinda complicates PUGing if you wind up with others. Even then, not sure how much T2 plaque gear will change my situation. For the few times I'm not tanking, my build was 38 Paragon, 26 Champion, 2 Riftblade. And no, I have no idea what catchy names people these builds. x.xYou need a second set of gear with dps runes. Vials and powerstones 24/7.
I enjoy TOR, but I also resubscribed to Rift after a six month break. If you weren't playing when Trion got hacked, you can change your password to get a few free days, which resulted in me jumping back in. I'm liking Rift again, but I'm really not sure how long I'll last this go around. I really appreciate their aggressive updating schedule, but my new guild's HK roster is full so I'm mostly doing PVP, Instant Adventures, and grinding PAs since the only other interesting content for my gear level is the Master Modes (but I don't think those provide any upgrades for me). On the bright side, I did get my SHoE on my first run in xDSM after coming back, so that makes me happy! But yeah, I really wish TOR had Rift's UI.
Trion got hacked? That would explain why my account got hacked. Huh, maybe I should come back.
Yeah, it happened back in December. Trion sent out an email notification about it as well.
I need a good server to move to population wise. I might try Rift again since WoW is dead to me (currently). I need something to hold me over until GW2!
Briarcliff or Deepstrike
Man my lv 50 was on the Newly dubbed Trial server. I quit before I got a chance to take it off![]()
Oh well, I made a character on Greenscale.
You couldn't move it? I didnt think they deleted/locked any high level chars. I want to say only 10 or lower.
It said it was coinlocked. The only way to remove that is to have an email sent to redeem in game. I'll contact support about it later. I'm actually enjoying playing Bard.
Wow I'm shocked. I called tech support and they'll have it done within 8 hours.
Go Trion.
Could've had it done in seconds yourself unless you don't have access to your email account? Coin locking is sort of an anti-RMT thing, but strangely enough it didn't stop them from jacking my stuff in July or so.
