@kaylia: it's not that you couldn't beat most of the battles with most intelligent job setups, it's that no one would go with you/make a group if you weren't using one of the 'i win! button' job setups. you wouldn't get far solo.

I meant something along this line. My original CoP group had a thf and a drk for every mission (ouryu was very fun, btw). Certain jobs were just literally dead weight. Especially considering this was back when everyone had 1 job.

Yes. I did Snoll Tzar like 8 times before my group won. There was also a 2nd group going through with us though which had a THF. So for like 30 times (seriously) we mixed different setups trying to get the THF a win. This was back when there were no parsers etc. so I actually manually parsed some fights just by reading chat log and doing maths. Ugh fuck.

I disagree with this again. I've carried over 2-3 linkshells worth of people to sea (organizing every single run, shouting in jeuno to fill the hole, explaining the fight) , and the biggest issue was that no one really cared about getting it done. Getting 5 persons alone was hard, let alone non retarded players who would buy med.

Yeah, like I said before. Snoll Tzar was the single exception... what a poorly designed battle.

Doubt so, my server was filled with lazy fuck just like any server. That's why I had to shout 2 hours everytime I was helping people getting to sea because no one is helping, and people just didnt care. Getting a party going was harder than doing the actual fight.

They said that when the forums open Twitter will be used only to post Patch notes.

I seriously cannot reply to that thread because I already have a mark on my account now. That post that got deleted? Apparently they suspended me from the forums for 3 hours. I was unaware of this because I was doing something else or asleep when they finally did it, and only found about it due to an email a few days later.

The amount of profanity that would be in that thread if I didn't have the self-control to not post would get me banned from the game. :\

Why does Google translate take the Japanese forum and translate something into 'mackerel' all the time? What is that mackerel supposed to be? I thought maybe 'players' for a while but now i see a post with players translated into it.

Can somebody who reads/understands Japanese tell me if the JP forums are as retarded as the english forums? I still hold out some hope that there are some usable ideas out there somewhere buried under the useless bullshit people post.
