Guys, there are screen readers these days that help blind people access the web. lol

Aren't smart phones pretty blind friendly too these days? Sorta knew a kid in college who had a seeing eye dog but seemed to be able to navigate facebook pretty well.
Accessibility is making strides lately. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some mobile tools out there now. I have done some pretty good research and applied codes from section 508 in my web designs for work. Here's the wiki on 508, if you want to learn more about it. Section 508 Compliance
ah ok I was thinking of strict military requirements I guess
Might not be able to fly in the military but you can get some waivers to still do certain things. There's some guys in Law Enforcement that have pretty terrible vision but thanks to things like Lasik and whatnot, some of them do pretty well. It is a bit scary when you think your partner is legally blind in one eye but can shoot better than you with both eyes, just means the human spirit is awesome and can prevail through everything!
somehow i dont think its his spirit that helps him compensate for his crappy eyes.
I'm all for accommodating those who are legally blind, but do we really need fucking braille on drive through ATM buttons? If you can't read the screen, I have little faith that you can see well enough to drive.
Drive-thrus have braille because it's cheaper to mass produce all the buttons with braille than to make separate ones with and without it.
Son shoots father for not wanting to bang Megan Fox
A 17-year-old boy from Florida shot and killed his father when he told his son that “he wouldn’t know what to do with that” should he be given a shot with actress Megan Fox.
The New York Daily News reports that Jason Beckman, now 21, has been charged with first-degree murder for gunning down his father, city commissioner Jay Beckman, in Miami in 2009.
Michael Nistal, an inmate jailed with Beckman after his arrest, told the court on Tuesday that the remark about Fox was indeed what turned the teen into a murderer.
Nistal told the Miami Herald that Beckman “went and got a shotgun and blew his [father's] head off” after his father told him he wouldn’t be able to satisfy the actress.
“He missed his head and shot his face and part of his neck,” added Nistal, who is serving a seven-year prison sentence.
The Herald reported that Beckman shot his father in the shower and then poked his body with the gun to make sure he was dead.
Though Beckman told Nistal that he planned to tell the court the shooting was an accident, a matter of self-defense, or the result of insanity, Nistal assured Miami-Dade prosecutor Gail Levine that the boy “knew right from wrong.”
Beckman also told Nistal that he plans to murder the court witnesses once he gets out of jail.
The 21-year-old’s defense attorney is currently arguing that the shooting was an accident.
See, these are the kinds of people the death penalty was invented for. Don't give him a chance to get out of jail and kill someone else. It's kind of retarded how the justice system works sometimes. "Yeah this guy totally knowingly raped/murdered someone but we're just gonna let him go after X number of years, why not?"
Clearly your life is forfeit if you don't immediately second with some crude sexual response of your own when presented with an inquiry of thoughts of Megan Fox. I'm just impressed the middle aged man was hip enough to say "he wouldn't know what to do with that". Can't imagine a dude his age busting out that saying.

Never take an inmate's word at face value.
This is not to say the kid didn't do it, or anything. Hard to convince people it was an accident (who the fuck brings a gun to your dad in the shower without the intent to shoot it?). But it's not unheard of for inmates to exaggerate (aka shoot the jury) in hopes to get out earlier.

Against Medical Recommendations, FDA Approves Potent New Painkiller
The FDA's medical advisory board voted against approving Zohydro, an opioid painkiller drug with up to 10 times more hydrocodone than Vicodin.

Hydrocodone DEA
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers prescription painkiller overdoses a public health epidemic, calling prescription drug abuse the "fastest growing drug problem in the United States." Opioid painkillers like OxyContin and Vicodin are the leading cause of fatal drug overdoses, which have risen dramatically over the past few decades.
And now the FDA has approved an even more addictive pill. Medical experts warned the agency that Zohydro, an opiod painkiller that contains an unusually high dose of hydrocodone—up to 10 times more than Vicodin—has high potential for abuse. This is the first hydrocodone drug the FDA has approved that isn't diluted with another painkiller like acetaminophen, which can make opioid medications less addictive but also can cause liver damage. Oxycontin, which similarly contains the undiluted opioid oxycodone, has high rates of abuse and overdose.

Yay!
And here I thought it was justifiable.
