Flying Spaghetti Monster On Display At Florida State Capitol Next To Festivus Pole, Nativity Scene

A display dedicated to the Flying Spaghetti Monster is now on display in the Florida capitol, next to a Nativity scene, a Christmas tree and a Festivus pole.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the display is composed of a desk chair covered in shreds of cardboard with eyes on top, made to look like the Flying Spaghetti Monster. A sign next to the "Monster" -- which was placed in the capitol on Tuesday -- says, "A closed mouth catches no noodly appendages.” – ProvHerbs 3:27."

Florida's capitol isn't the only one featuring a holiday tribute to the Flying Spaghetti Monster. The University of Wisconsin's Atheists, Humanists, and Agnostics placed a similar display in the capitol building of the Badger State, with a sign calling the exhibit "ridiculous."

"Think this is ridiculous? We agree! Religious ideas should not be promoted in the halls of government. Protect the separation of Church and State, it protects us all," the AHA display says, according to a post on the group's website.

Chaz Stevens, who placed a Festivus pole made of beer cans in protest of a nativity scene in the Florida capitol, called his display "ridiculous" as well.

"What's the point? There is no point. It's ridiculous. This is the most ridiculous thing I could come up with," said Stevens, an atheist. "This is about the separation of church and state."

Dangling Dog Photo Goes Viral, Outrages SC Community

A disturbing photo of a dog dangling on a leash from a second-story balcony in Greenville, S.C., went viral and resulted in a citation for the man who put the dog there.

A woman noticed the dog hanging out the window and a snapped photo, which was posted on Facebook over the weekend. Police were soon “inundated” with the images through Facebook and Twitter, while other people called in to report the photo, Greenville Police Officer Johnathan Bragg told ABCNews.com today.

The police department sent animal control to the apartment complex on Sunday and officers spoke to Tyler Smith, 23, on Monday and he was cited with violating the city ordinance on animal care.

When asked why Smith hung the dog out the window, Bragg said, “Saturday it was raining really hard during that time period and we believe he was doing it to let it use the bathroom.”

The dog belongs to Smith’s parents, who were out of town, Bragg said. The dog was not injured.

Smith could not be reached for comment.

Looking at the image the load looks to be on the dog's shoulders rather than his neck, he probably had some sort of harness on that the leash was hooked up to.

Burglar Finds Kiddie Porn While Robbing a House; Calls Cops on Soccer Coach

Prompted by an anonymous tip, presumably from the burglar, police found three videotapes of sexual abuse against children aged about 10.

The tapes had been placed beneath a brown car parked in the south-central city of Jaén, along with a note giving them the address of the suspect, police said in a statement.

“I have had the misfortune to have these tapes fall into my hands and feel obliged to submit them so you can do your work and put this … in jail for life,” the anonymous note read.

The alleged aggressor was identified from the content of the videotapes and arrested after a search of his home and the indoor football club where he worked, police said.

The suspect had reported a burglary at his home nine days earlier, listing several appliances as stolen but making no mention of his missing video camera and tapes, police said.

I dunno how true this is, but I've always heard people in prison fucking flip out on anyone there for a child-related issue (porn, molestation, murder, etc.).

Criminals care about kids more than innocent people do.

It's pretty accurate. We have to keep people who are on trial for pedo related crimes separate otherwise it just becomes a straight up blood bath. So yea don't be a pedo in a jail zone.

You're not innocent if you have kiddie porn in your home, also this is true. My brother did some time in San Quentin(shot some drugged up trespasser trying to stab him in his house, but Daly City gun laws are stupid) and he told me how shit was pretty much open season on rapists/child molesters and shit. Interesting how murder, theft, and drug dealing is normal to these criminals but they can all turn around and look at a child molester and call them a bad guy.

uhhh, I wasn't calling the guy that got robbed innocent lol

I just meant that criminals flip out harder on people who do things to kids than the average law biding citizen does.
