What the fuck kind of parent are you that you let your child's teeth deteriorate to the point they need 4 root canals and multiple cavity fillings at 3 fucking years old.
I read another article on the story, that included other clients of this dentist coming forward and saying that the office had done the same in recommending expensive, comprehensive procedures for their kids that seemed completely unnecessary.

Seems more likely that this is also a case of scamming people out of money, than any sort of negligence on the patient's side.

EDIT: Beat to part of it.

My in-laws had to spend like $600 on my nephew's teeth when he was three. idgi it really, some people just don't realize what shit does to little kid's teeth. The mother is like super clean for him about everything else, but they rarely brushed his teeth and gave him candy, juice, etc.

My parent in-laws get upset because I am so picky on what my daughter eats, but her teeth are perfect atm. Fuck that shit.

There's some juice company out there that has some crazy lid on letting parents know just how bad that shit is. It amazes me how many people still think that's healthy.

Oh and brill, you can slap me for giving advice, 'cause I know I hate unwarranted advice, BUT a lot of that comes from people who put milk/juice in a sippy cup. The way those work the liquid gets all over their teeth. DON'T DO IT. Stick to water for that.

I am no dentist either, but adult teeth don't start coming in until your 7. And you need to keep the upper/lower in pairs n' such. So I would imagine this is normal.

[edit] well if rk is also saying it maybe I am wrong lol.

If you don't get fillings to fix rotting baby teeth the issue can turn into an abscess in the gums or worse it can actually start to rot out the adult tooth growing under it. I am not a dentist but I asked this question before and hopefully the dentist gave me an honest answer.

My wife does dental procedures on dogs and cats and this can actually happen for them if you don't fix their baby teeth.

New generation of parents are cooking at home less/who don't know wtf in the kitchen and spoon-feed kids all those great snacks and juices filled with diabetes.

A lot of the unhealthy foods are very cleverly packaged now, though, to be fair. Junk food not as blatant as it was when I was growing up, but still: be fucking proactive and give a shit for your child's health.

There was a docu awhile back that Frontline did, highlighting all the scammy Children's Dentist clinics and this is exactly how they make their money(minus the obvious fuck-up above); unnecessary procedures, like fillings and crowns for healthy teeth.

11:15 a.m. MCLOUD — Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth said he had never heard of “an atomic wedgie,” before suspect Brad Davis told investigators he gave one to his stepfather, Denver Lee St. Clair, on Dec. 21 at St Clair's home at 4 Shadowlake Drive in Pottawatomie County near McLoud. St. Clair was dead at the scene. Davis is St. Clair's stepson and lives in the area.

“I'd never seen this before, but when we first looked at our victim seeing the waistband of his underwear was around his neck,” Booth said.

Booth said Davis told investigators that he went to his stepfather's residence and his stepfather “jumped him.”

St. Clair had a head wound and appeared to have been in a fight. The underwear St. Clair was wearing had been pulled up his back and over his head, leaving the waistband around his neck. Booth said it was the first time he had ever heard of someone being killed by a pair of underwear.

The cause of death has been determined to be from blunt force trauma to the head and asphyxiation. The death has been ruled a homicide, said Amy Elliott, Oklahoma state medical examiner's spokeswoman.

Booth said a full report has been presented to the Pottawatomie County District Attorney's office where a murder charge is expected to be filed.

St. Clair was under a permanent protective order filed in 2008 by his wife Tressia Ann St. Clair. She lived in the home where Denver St. Clair was killed. Brad Davis is the son of Tressia St. Clair.

In the 2008 protective order, Tressia St. Clair claimed she found her husband embraced in a “sexual way,” with a drinking buddy and that he later grabbed her by the neck and threw her through a bathroom door.

Student Expelled for Casting a Spell
    O K L A H O M A C I T Y, Oct. 28
An Oklahoma high school suspended a

15-year-old student after accusing her of casting a magic spell

that caused a teacher to become sick, lawyers for the student

    said on Friday.

The American Civil Liberties Union said it had filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on behalf of student Brandi Blackbear, charging that the assistant principal of Union Intermediate High School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, suspended her for 15 days last December for supposedly casting a spell.

The suit also charged the Tulsa-area Union Public Schools with repeatedly violating Blackbear’s civil rights by seizing notebooks she used to write horror stories and barring her from drawing or wearing signs of the pagan religion Wicca.

“It’s hard for me to believe that in the year 2000 I am walking into court to defend my daughter against charges of witchcraft brought by her own school,” said Timothy Blackbear, Brandi’s father.

    ‘Outlandish Accusations’

Joann Bell, executive director of the ACLU’s Oklahoma chapter, said the “outlandish accusations” had made Blackbear’s life at school unbearable.

“I, for one, would like to see the so-called evidence this school has that a 15-year-old girl made a grown man sick by casting a magic spell,” Bell said.

A lawyer for the school district declined to comment.

The lawsuit, filed on Thursday, alleges that Blackbear was summoned to the office of assistant principal Charlie Bushyhead last December after a teacher fell ill, and was questioned about her interest in Wicca.

According to the lawsuit, Brandi Blackbear had read a library book about Wicca beliefs and, under aggressive interrogation by Bushyhead, said she might be a Wiccan. In fact, Blackbear is a Roman Catholic, according to the newspaper Tulsa World.

“The interview culminated with Defendant Bushyhead accusing Plaintiff, Brandi Blackbear, of casting spells causing (a teacher at the school) ... to be sick and to be hospitalized,” the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit stated that because of the “unknown cause” of the teacher’s illness, Bushyhead advised the 15-year-old girl “that she was an immediate threat to the school and summarily suspended her for what he arbitrarily determined to be a disruption of the education process.”
Sounds like the school did her a service. I wouldn't want my kid attending a school that was run by retards of that magnitude.

NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) - Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who backed his car into a Newington gas station several times, stole a banana, and fled the scene.

The incident happened shortly before 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, at the Citgo gas station, located at 502 Cedar Street. When police arrived on the scene they found extensive damage to the north entry doors.

After reviewing surveillance video, officers discovered that the suspect, driving a light-colored Ford Freestyle station wagon with CT registration plates, backed into the entrance doors several times creating an opening in the glass.

Police said the suspect, who was identified as a black male wearing a dark jacket, dark pants, and a brown hat, then entered the store. The man wasn't wearing a mask and didn't attempt to hide his identity.

Once inside the store, police said the man picked up a banana from a shelf, peeled and ate it, then walked out. According to police, nothing else was taken during the burglary.

The suspect then fled the scene in the station wagon, which sustained damage to the driver side rear bumper and tail light, police said.

Y'all fail. It even says "2000" in the article.

I remember hearing about this, it has a lot to do with the fact that they found her horror stories shortly after the Columbine Massacre so the school overdid it.

Man kills stepfather with an "atomic wedgie"

NEW YORK (NBC) - Police have arrested an Oklahoma man for allegedly killing his step-father in an unusual way during an argument just days before Christmas.

Authorities say he killed his stepfather with an "atomic wedgie."

"I can't imagine how you do that to your step-father. Choke him with his underwear,” Peggy Springer, a concerned resident said.

33-year-old Brad Davis is under arrest for taking a high school prank to a deadly level.

Investigators say Davis and his 58-year-old step-father, Denver St. Clair, were drinking together inside the family home a few days before Christmas.

According to the police affidavit, tempers flared when "St. Clair began speaking ill of Davis' mother" and a fight broke out. Davis claims his step-father swung first, but the domestic dispute intensified when Davis knocked his stepfather unconscious, grabbed his underwear and gave him a "atomic wedgie."

"His underwear was pulled up over his head and the elastic band was around his throat," Explained Jimmy Brewer of the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office.

The medical examiner reports the cause of death was a combination of blunt force trauma and asphyxiation.

"And with the blunt force trauma, that's a whole other issue too. One of the two, either or, it was bad," Said Brewer.

After the fight, Davis called 911 to report what happened, but police believe he tampered with the crime scene to make it look like he killed St. Clair in self-defense.

"People knew him. And then to be killed like that is just outrageous. I mean, it's just like something you can't even imagine," Peggy said.

Before that fight, authorities say Brad Davis had texted a friend saying he was going to hurt his step-father because "he had nothing to lose."

He is currently being held in jail, without bond
