According to the article she wasn't actively trying to fool people into giving her money and such... So its not like she was just eating a lot of tricking people for the lulz...

Bienvenue experienced a phantom pregnancy, or pseudocyesis, and she is receiving psychiatric care, The Sun reported. Pseudocyesis is a very rare disorder in which a woman experiences all the symptoms of pregnancy, but is not pregnant.
So she went through all the symptoms and 'stages' of pregnancy, but never was pregnant lol. She even grew in size, had morning sickness, and lactated.

That would fucking mess me up, not gonna lie.

But I'm not sure where she got the idea she was having quintuplets, since an ultrasound would have pretty much been the only way to know that and an ultrasound would have shown that she wasn't pregnant ...

Exactly. She claims it was the untrasound which revealed that she had 5 but it just doesn't work that way. Doctors, nurses, ultrasound technicians, her boyfriend, etc. all would have known better. It wreaks of bullshit. The whole thing.

It's possible that she was convinced that the doctors were lying to her. Some kind of paranoid delusional disorder, believing in some sort of conspiracy - could even go so far as to say that she truly believed that the doctors were all lying to her so that they could steal her babies and in the end her mind would be validated because she would leave the hospital without babies.

I can actually see that happening. Mental issues can manifest in some fucking weird ass ways.

Though I certainly won't rule out a scam either.

Yeah, I know a few people that believe the government, police, teachers, doctors, etc. are all part of a huge conspiracy to keep people dumb and force you to believe everything they say. And these people are of mostly sound mind. If this woman subscribes to that kind of stupid as well as having mental issues with schizophrenia or anything close to it, I could see her truly believing she is pregnant. But the boyfriend? Really? If he believed this, he probably sent money to that Nigerian Prince too.

Little Girl Taken Out Of Christian School After Told She's Too Much Like A Boy

Timberlake, VA - Sports, sneakers, and short hair; it's what makes eight year old Sunnie Kahle unique. It's also what had her removed from Timberlake Christian School. Her grandparents pulled the plug on her time there after they said she was no longer welcome.

The family received a letter telling them that if their eight year old granddaughter didn't follow the school's "biblical standards," that she'd be refused enrollment next year. She's out and in public school now.

Sunnie Kahle has short hair and a huge heart, and as far as her grandparents are concerned, she is a completely normal little girl.

"She cries every morning to get on the bus, she cries when she comes home because she wants to go back to Timberlake Christian with her friends," said Doris Thompson.

Doris and Carroll Thompson are Sunnie's grandparents. They adopted and raised the little girl and took her out of Timberlake Christian School when they received a letter from the school's K-8 Principal.

"You're probably aware that Timberlake Christian School is a religious, Bible believing institution providing education in a distinctly Christian environment," read Doris from a part of the letter.

The letter goes on to say that students have been confused about whether Sunnie is a boy or girl and specifies that administrators can refuse enrollment for condoning sexual immorality, practicing a homosexual lifestyle or alternative gender identity.

The letter goes on to reference specific Bible verses that affirm these beliefs.

The letter reads in part, "We believe that unless Sunnie as well as her family clearly understand that God has made her female and her dress and behavior need to follow suit with her God-ordained identity, that TCS is not the best place for her future education."

"How do you label a child, eight years old, or discriminate against an eight year old child? It just don't happen" said Carroll Thompson.

"Sunnie says, 'I'm a girl, I know I'm a girl' and she said then you know, you're acting like and looking, and wanting to look and act like a boy" said Doris.

An administrator from Timberlake Christian, said the problem with Sunnie goes "far beyond her hair length" and that the little girl is a good student, but that "things disturbed the classroom environment."

"How do you tell a child when she wants to wear pants a shirt, and go out and play in the mud and so forth, how do you tell her, no you can't, you've got to wear a pink bow in your hair, and you've got to let your hair grow out long, how do you do that? I can't do that" said Doris.

School administrators said they have not accused Sunnie of being anything or anyone and simply asked that her family follow the guidelines they set forth for all students. The Thompsons say they have no desire to re-enroll Sunnie at Timberlake Christian

In the meantime, regulators have been wrestling with what sort of oversight should be used on this scatological treatment.

A group of researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Alpert Medical School of Brown University proposed Wednesday that fecal transplants be regulated similarly to tissue or blood.

In fecal transplants, a slurry of feces containing the gut bacteria from a healthy donor are strained and implanted into the intestine. Official guidelines about how to screen donors and ensure samples are safe will help bring clarity and uniformity to a field that has become something of a Wild West. Researchers are concerned because YouTube videos now offer guidance on do-it-yourself fecal transplants for at-home use, and misinformation is abundant. The team that wrote the study has received questions from people suffering from gastrointestinal infections who wonder whether their pets could be used as donors. (They cannot.)

The excitement about the successful use of fecal transplants to treat the gastrointestinal infection C. difficile has also led to a premature interest among the general public suffering from ailments for which it is completely unproven and untested.

“I have pretty serious concerns about this,” said Mark Smith, a graduate student in microbiology at MIT who co-wrote the paper published in Nature. “It’s an exciting area of research, but it’s not ready for every patient to get their hands on.”

In Cambridge, Smith has cofounded a nonprofit stool bank called OpenBiome that carefully prepares feces samples for doctors to use in treating C. difficile. The stool bank has already sent out more than 130 samples for transplant into patients, for $250 per treatment.

OpenBiome is pioneering a model that may be able to create a steady supply, by taking a page from nonprofit blood banks. So far, there are three active donors providing samples to OpenBiome, with more awaiting clearance of screening tests. The donors are rigorously tested before and after a 60-day collection period, and the samples are quarantined until those tests come back clean.

Donors drop by the laboratory to make two to three deposits a week into the stool bank, Smith said. They are researchers from the broader Harvard and MIT community, and are paid $40 per donation. Smith even created an informal competition among the donors to see who could make the most generous contribution. The trophy — a squatting wrestler — initially went to a person who provided a sample that could be used to treat 10 people.

Smith said that developing the stool bank is far from what he imagined he would be doing when he started graduate school, but that his main motivation is understanding the science behind the remarkable treatment. He is working to enroll some of the patients who receive the samples in a research study so that scientists can begin to discern which bacterial strains are the key ones that are repopulating their guts. That information could help guide the development of a synthetic treatment — one that could easily be regulated as a drug.

$40 per donation and a trophy for "the most generous contribution"? Won't lie, the first person I thought of was Cream Soda.

What the fuck, man. Back when I was growing up (and I went to Catholic school), that was referred to as "being a tomboy" and something I would probably outgrow (which, I guess I kinda did, to some extent). These fucking people, I swear.

Nothing against the girl if she is actually trans and just hasn't figured it out yet, but dude. These damn intolerant fucks ... really people are so stupid these days.

Firefighter who rescued 6-foot python: 'I would do it for any creature'

Toby Gabriel, 21, of Muskegon, holds a 7-foot boa constrictor named Chocolate Chip who was rescued from a house fire in the 600 block of Catherine Street in Muskegon on the evening of March 30, 2014.

MUSKEGON, MI – It wasn’t something any of the Muskegon firefighters were anxious to do when their boss asked them to rescue a huge python from a burning Muskegon home Sunday evening, March 30.

But Firefighter Scott Hemmelsbach, who had experience handling the reptiles, reluctantly agreed to go into the two-story, smoke-filled house on Catherine Street and rescue the 6-foot python from its terrarium.

“He was asking all the firefighters if anyone would go in and rescue the snake, but no one wanted anything to do with it,” Hemmelsbach said. “They looked at me and said, ‘Would you do it?’”

The fire, reported around 7 p.m. on Sunday, had done significant damage to the home and the living room area where the snake was located had already filled with smoke.

“It was trying to crawl up the side of his terrarium and get out. His face was pushed up on the screen and trying to get out. There was a lot of smoke and he was trapped,” Hemmelsbach said.

“I removed the screen off the top and knew to approach it by coming up behind his head. He became very active, and I was glad because that meant that he was OK.”

Hemmelsbach said he had some experience handling pythons from his Grand Haven High School days. He said he had taken some Michigan Wildlife classes where they routinely handled pythons.

“I had some experience in my high school days showcasing them. I’d take them around and show them to the kids in the elementary classes,” he said. “That didn’t bother me at all.”

When Hemmelsbach reached the python inside the Catherine Street home, he gingerly handled him so not to scare the reptile any more than he already was.

Hemmelsbach said the python was “weighty.”

“With my left hand, I secured his head and then I just scooped him up with my right arm and cradled him in my chest and took him over to Canteen 450 where there was a very happy reunion,” he said. “I would do it for any creature. I’m just glad it had a happy ending.”

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday morning
