It wasn't a meth lab, they thought a deal was just going down there. They got caught with their pants down taking for granted the info given to them. Can't blast them for what they did, its just unfortunate and now I'm sure taxpayers are going to foot the bill for it.

Maybe I read it wrong but it sounds to me that they didn't find anything in the raid that had anything to do with the dude they were looking for. They just happened to find him elsewhere. Unfortunately they seem to have been working on outdated info.

My friends and I once rented a house and found out the guy that used to live there was dealing. Someone showed up on our front porch at 2am once looking for a fix. We were quick to gtfo.

I thought this was kind of funny. Even if it is hot outside, adding 1-2 inches to the length of her shorts to in order to comply with the dress code isn't going to hurt her. It would be different if they said all girls must wear pants at all times. Just because she can't wear short shorts, she decides to play the victim card too.

A teenage girl who was suspended from school recently for wearing denim short shorts has publicly challenged the school dress code, declaring it sexist.

Lindsey Stocker, an 11th-grader at Beaconsfield High School in Quebec, Canada, says that she and several female classmates were asked to stand up for an outfit inspection during class. The girls were instructed to put their arms by their sides so school officials could assess whether the bottom of their shorts or skirts lined up with their fingertips. If their fingers reached beyond their hemlines, the girls would be considered in violation of the school's dress code.
"When I started explaining why I didn’t understand that rule, they didn’t really want to hear anything I had to say, and it was in front of my entire class. I felt very attacked … and I wanted to tell them how I felt," Lindsey told Canadian news outlet CBC. "They should approach it in a way that doesn’t target girls at least — for starters — because that’s the first problem. They don’t really care what guys wear. They just kind of target the girls first."

After Lindsey failed the inspection, she left class and printed 20 sheets of paper that read, "Don’t humiliate her because she is wearing shorts. It’s hot outside. Instead of shaming girls for their bodies, teach boys that girls are not sexual objects.” Then she posted them around the school. Administrators removed the signs a short time later and sent Lindsey to the principal’s office, where she was given a one-day suspension. While the exact reasons for the suspension are unclear, according to Canadian radio show CJAD, it was for “multiple infractions.”

The school's website states that students are prohibited from wearing short shorts or skirts, halter tops, visible underwear, low-riding pants, clothing that’s torn, and anything that shows “excessive” cleavage or midriff, among other banned items.

Yahoo Shine could not reach Lindsey for comment; however, she told Canada's Global News, “There’s a huge rape culture that educational systems aren’t really paying attention to. They’re actually contributing to it without realizing it.”

Contributing to rape culture because she has to wear longer shorts? Man I wish this happened in the states so I could see it actually unfold and not end with Canadian apologies left and right.

strict female dress codes enforce the idea to young girls that there's something dirty about their bodies and that it's their responsibility to cover up so they don't cause problems with boys and that's very much one aspect of rape culture. that's why people go "look what she was wearing, she was asking for it" and other forms of victim blaming

This, and also when you suspend or send a girl home for her outfit, you send the message that covering her body for the sake of keeping the boys in line is more important than her education.

Im sorry Aks for you and your crusades, but with my education background, thats complete BS and the girl deserved to be suspended. Thats a general policy at a lot of schools, that it has to be beyond the finger tips. Most schools take you aside and have shirts for you to wear or ask you to tie a hoodie around your waist. Guys are similarly enforced and asked to put a generic school t shirt on (or something of their own if they have it) if they wear a sleeveless shirt. Its not encouraging rape culture when she goes and prints almost 2 dozen signs protesting basic school rules. That was the part that really done her in. I could see asking her to cover up, asking her parents to bring her a change of clothes or asking her to leave early, but she went and printed signs protesting the school's printed rules and hung them around the school.

I can see a suspension for printing up the signs and posting them on school grounds. I'm not sure if its accurate, but it seems like some of her ire is because they single out girls for wearing short shorts but not the guys. If everybody who wasn't wearing pants were lined up in the classroom regardless of gender and was subjected to measurement than it would be fair.

I have a feeling they don't have an issue with guys wearing shorts that are too short. Otherwise you would be correct.

Public schools have dress codes. True story.

Ain't you studying to be an English teacher? You know you can't overlook school rules for girls just cause of your personal views. Whatever rules the school board sets you gotta enforce.

Ps the OP for the link was making fun of the girl, see "victim card" comments.

If you guys liked that your going to love this..

Students at Utah school upset to discover yearbook photos were altered.

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — Female students at a Utah high school want to know why their yearbook photos were altered to show less skin without them knowing about it.

The students who were surprised to find their photos altered attend Wasatch High School, and some of them said they also feel upset because it appears the decisions whether to alter the photos or not weren’t made consistently.

“I feel like they put names in a hat and pick and choose who,” Sophomore Rachel Russel said. “There were plenty of girls that were wearing thicker tank tops and half of them got edited and half of them didn’t.”

And that’s what bothered the girls the most. It seemed like the school randomly picked which pictures to edit. In one case, two different girls were wearing nearly identical tops: one photo was altered to add sleeves and the other was not. At least two dozen girls had their photos altered. The students who spoke with FOX 13 News were not aware of any male students who had their photos altered.

But educators said the students know the dress code and there was a sign warning them that their pictures may be edited. However, the Wasatch County Superintendent admits the school erred in not applying the same rules to each student.

“We only apologize in the sense that we want to be more consistent with what we`re trying to do in that sense we can help kids better prepare for their future by knowing how to dress appropriately for things,” said Terry E. Shoemaker, who is the superintendent of schools for the Wasatch County School District.

FOX 13 News’ Kiersten Nuñez spoke with students and school officials, see the video above for her report. The photos are included in that video and are also available in the gallery below.

The pictures are in a gallery at the bottom of the page and I can't link them.

If this was a professional work environment, no one would care how butt hurt these girls are. Why aren't people giving the schools the same leeway here?

The yearbook thing is a little much imo, but other then that what the hell this isn't a big deal.

edit: after looking at the pictures, holy shit I'd be mad. Some of the girls don't even look the same! They really fucked up there lol.

yeah and they didn't even do it uniformly. two of the girls were wearing the exact same top, one got shopped the other didn't. that's 100% on the production company, though.

    http://www.patheos.com/blogs/progres...sle-for-jesus/
A Tennessee bride attached her one-month-old baby daughter to the train of her wedding dress, dragging the infant down the aisle, and justifying her bizarre behavior by claiming the newborn was “covered by Christ.”

Shona Carter-Brooks defended her curious decision to strap her newborn daughter Aubrey into the train of her wedding dress as she walked down the aisle, saying the baby was “awake and well-secured” and that she was “covered by Christ.”

The following is a Facebook post from Carter-Brooks defending her decision:

People questioning what we do, commenting all negative, and just doing the most. We good though we covered by the Blood which never loose its power. So to the media, radio, news, and whomever else wanting to talk about what WE do here you go: Media Media I see how it works regardless the situation or purpose people gone have something negative to say! The answer is we do what we want when we want long as Jesus on our side everything worked out fine and gone continue to be fine. Our 1 month old was awake and well secured on my train. Most important while yall got ya feelings in us we had our hearts in Christ which covers all!! So keep ya mouths running for it was just that Exclusive and Epic enough we made top blog way from small town Ripley, TN and the social media doing what they do, TALK!!!!

And people are talking. Many are concerned for the welfare of the child, and many feel the mother should be reported to child protection services.

The entire episode is strange, and it is difficult to decipher exactly how Jesus fits into the bizarre decision to drag the infant down the aisle. The fact that the woman chose to include her one-month-old daughter in her wedding ceremony is admirable, but the manner of the inclusion is questionable.

Ultimately, the claim that “we do what we want when we want long as Jesus on our side…” is a childish and lame excuse for boorish if not dangerous behavior.

Those yearbook photos piss me off, I would be so angry if someone photoshopped out my tattoos because of their disapproval ... none of those girls were showing off excessive skin or anything remotely sexual.

Also, the fact that Sep thinks I'm on some sort of "crusade" is funny. I responded passionately in a thread about a misogynist and now I'm a crusader.
