there are also pictures from ground level while greenpeace was laying the letters down. also if you look closely you can see them standing around the yellow letters in that picture. totes legit, unfortunately.

there are strict guidelines for archaeologists (the only people allowed near the nazca lines) when visiting, among which is protective footwear so they don't leave tracks like that. obviously greenpeace didn't wear them. they also drove their car pretty close and at high speeds, which is another source of damage.

No. If the kid is being a little shit, you send him to detention or the principal's office or w/e you would do to a non-blind child. You definitely DO NOT take away a blind child's cane (would you take away a wheelchair, or crutch, too? I hope not) and you CERTAINLY do not keep his cane at school and send him home with a fucking pool noodle. Jesus Christ.

If the kid is using his crutch or wheelchair as a weapon, yeah, I'd take it away too. A pool noodle is an adequate replacement for getting around safely and doesn't have the rigidity to inflict any harm on people he may continue to take swings at. Kids are dumb, and if he hasn't learned by now that his cane is a tool and not a toy, then taking it away is the next logical step to get it through his head.

Sending the noodle home is also a message to the parents that they need to do their job better. Obviously they do need to do it better if their kid is caning other kids. You can do some serious damage with those things.

From what I understand the cane was given to the kid BY the school, not the parents. After several incidents of him whacking people with his cane, they took away the cane they gave to him and instead gave him the pool noodle. So they weren't taking away a cane that he previously owned, but the one they gave to him because his parents never provided one.
