Former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of trying to trade drugs to a man for sex, as investigators monitored the deal.

Drug task-force officers were "visually monitoring" the deal when the 68-year-old former national Sheriff of the Year delivered methamphetamine to an Aurora home and sought sex in return, said current Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson.

Sullivan is being held on $250,000 bail in the jail that bears his name, the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility.

Teen arrested trying to apply for job by knocking on armored car window

Charleston, S.C., teen Kieon Sharp, 18, tried taking the direct approach to landing a new job. Instead, it landed him in jail, on suspicion of armed robbery.

Sharp was hoping to find a job with Brinks security. He had already applied for a job with the company but decided he wanted more information about the day-to-day details of driving one of the company's armed trucks. And what better way to gather information than going straight to the source? So he went up to a driver inside one of the company's vehicles and knocked on the window.

The driver mistakenly thought Sharp was holding a gun and called the police. Charleston Police Sgt. Bobby Eggleton described the situation as "more than just a misunderstanding." In the aftermath of Sharp's failed informational interview, police held him behind bars for several hours before releasing him.

"He banged on the window and that scared the driver," Eggleton said. "You don't approach those guys very often. They are on high alert because they carry a large amount of cash."

Of course, when police actually searched Sharp they didn't find a gun, just copies of the job applications he had filled out that day, including one for a position with Brinks. Eggleton said Sharp was cooperative with police and that they even offered Sharp a job application with the city's street department after he was released on Thursday.

BOSTON (CBS) – A 7-year-old boy is being investigated by his South Boston elementary school for possible sexual harassment after kicking another boy in the crotch.

The first grader’s mother, Tasha Lynch, says she was shocked by the school’s decision.

“He’s 7 years old. He doesn’t know anything about sexual harassment,” she said.

Lynch’s son, Mark Curran, said the boy that he kicked had been bullying him on the school bus ride home from Tynan Elementary last week.

“He just all of a sudden came up to him, choked him. He wanted to take his gloves, and my son said, ‘I couldn’t breathe, so I kicked him in the testicles,’” said his mother.

Lynch described a phone call she received from the school explaining that the case will be treated like sexual harassment, due to what it considers inappropriate touching.

“‘Your son kicked a little boy in the testicles. We call that sexual harassment,’” Lynch said the school told her.

She said she’s been asked to attend a disciplinary hearing at the school Monday.

A Boston Public Schools spokesperson said officials are investigating, but won’t comment further, since it’s a private matter.

Lynch wants an apology and better supervision on the school bus to prevent such fights among students.

“He couldn’t breathe. He was trying to defend himself,” she said. “I don’t find that sexual harassment. I find that defending himself.”

A US model who suffered severe head injuries and had her hand amputated after walking into a plane propeller may have been trying to thank the pilot for a special Christmas flight, her parents believe.
Lauren Scruggs, a fashion blogger, model and former wardrobe assistant on Gossip Girl, was getting off a small plane at a private airport in Dallas on Saturday night, when she walked into the propeller.
The propeller sliced her face, shoulder and severed her left hand, which was later amputated.
The 23-year-old has undergone several reconstructive surgeries, but the extent of any brain damage is not known and she may have permanently lost sight in her left eye, America's ABC News reported.
She had been on the flight with a friend to get an aerial view of Christmas lights in the Texas city.
"It was a really horrible accident," her father Jeff Scruggs told Good Morning America.
"I've been told she got out of the plane afterwards. And I'm guessing she went up to thank the pilot.
"She would have been grateful for him taking her up to see the Christmas lights around Dallas.
"They're telling us it's going to be a long recovery.
"Obviously she's had a lot of trauma to her head, and she lost her left hand and her left eye is questionable. "We're praying she'll regain her sight."
Her mother Cheryl said she was inside the airport when Lauren was hit by the propeller.
"I was there until the care flight got there," Mrs Scruggs said.
"I was just able to hold her and ... that's the toughest part of it all, just seeing her waiting there and waiting for the help.
"All I could do was tell her that I love her."
Mrs Scruggs told the US Today show that Lauren is a fighter.
"She will make it through, and she will use it for good.
"She's going to have a tough time when she finds out...everything that's happened, and losing her left hand is really a tough thing, but she'll fight."
Her family said she was showing some positive signs of recovery and talked on Monday night.
"She didn't speak right away," Mr Scruggs said.
"I said 'Lauren will you say hi to Daddy', and she goes, 'hi'.
"Later she told one of Cheryl's sisters that she loves her. It's so encouraging to us.
"She's really uncomfortable as you can imagine."
People magazine reported Lauren, who is the editor of the online Lolo Magazine, was also able to tell doctors her name.
The Scruggs family do not believe the pilot was negligent, but an aviation expert said the pilot should have done more.
Greg Feith, a former National Transportation Safety Board investigator, told NBC News: "The pilot is responsible for the care and oversight of not only the people who are flying as passengers, but anybody that may be a pedestrian around the aeroplane."
