Nah, nobody slams the keys that hard just because they are upset over wrinkly old republicans on the cover of their airbrushed womens mags.
Nope. Saw it, posted it to be discussed, then went to bed. Nothing more insidious than that.
It's disgusting because there are a bazillion other women that are more deserving of being on the cover. Putting Caitlyn on it is just pushing an agenda. And, like everyone else said, c'mon; Do you really want to see a 66 year old thats been hacked up with plastic surgery (again, not meaning the sex change, i mean general plastic surgery) on the cover? No. Caitlyn has had her time in the spotlight; it's time to give it to someone else.
That's fine, but there's nothing shocking or revolting about this decision. Your initial comments are exactly what bigots were replying with, so you have to excuse me for finding it beyond typical internet outrage.
I'm sure if they bless her with the same level of graphic artistry that the cover won't make your eyes bleed. If you're a loyal subscriber, just glue a better looking chick on top and rip the shoot out. Oldschool protest style.
lol I just realized why this was renamed to Miss Piggy after reading that last thread.
One of the greatest seasons of that show lol.
Seriously lol
I hope Matt & Trey decide to run the Trump episode every week leading up to the election in an elaborate trolling. Each week they'll promote a new episode, and each week just air the Trump episode again.
Yes and no. There's nothing wrong with it in a general sense, but I don't think Sports Illustrated is the medium to tackle the issue. When you go so far off-topic like this, you're risking doing more harm than good. People in the middle are likely to see it as one of their politically neutral bastions being invaded and overrun for an ideal, which is more likely to provoke defensive reactions than acceptance.
That being said, I don't really care about it at all either way. I've never bought an issue of SI in my life so there's no point pretending to be outraged over another issue I have 0 intentions of buying. Likewise, no matter who they may have put on the cover instead, I never would've bought it. I just don't think it's the proper venue for this message.
Remember when 50Cent mocked a disabled kid? (Like, 4 days ago or whenever it was)
Welp, he fixed everything by tossing money at it. $100,000 to be exact. His quote is "I want to turn this misunderstanding into an understanding".
What an asshole. Harassing the guy like he did is far from a "misunderstanding".
Is it though? If you've been around a lot of drug users, and around a lot of retarded people, you can see how easy it would be to mistake one for the other. If anything, he's kind of a nice guy for assuming someone was on drugs instead of assuming they're literally retarded.
.... He could have just not assumed at all, and therefore not have berated that person to begin with? He's not a nice guy in any sense of the matter. He fucked up.
50cent, a dope dealer, drug abuser, gangsta, who was nearly shot to death, had to claim bankruptcy (and just gave a kid $100k to say sorry) because he mishandling millions of dollars, ISN'T a nice guy!?
