Even if it's a misprint, SOME of those zeros should count...

I read it as 2200 with offset print, not 2200 winning tickets.

Oh, that makes sense too. If it's just one, then who the fuck cares, they should just pay it out.

Anyone here works at Chelsea Lately's resarch office or something? I swear I see the same news from this thread on that show, 1-2 days later, or viceversa, I just find it weird... most of the time they share the same amount of detail from each story as well.

A VIRGIN aged 70 yesterday declared she is ready to have sex.
Cabaret singer Pam Shaw said she has always been too busy working to find a man.

And even though she sings under the saucy name The Sexational Pam — and has rubbed shoulders over the years with sex symbols of the time like Tom Jones and Roger Moore — she has never hopped between the sheets.

Pam explained she does not believe in sex before marriage. And as she has stayed single there was no question of losing her virginity
But she said: “Now’s the time. I’m ready to take the plunge for the right bloke.
“My standards are still very high, though. I’m hoping to bag a tall, dark and handsome millionaire.

“I feel I am ready to give marriage a go and maybe go to bed with a man. You are never too old for anything. Just look at Joan Collins.”

Pam, who dresses in revealing costumes when she performs on Britain’s club circuit, added: “I like to think I’d be a real catch.

“I may be 70 but I’m young at heart. People can’t believe it when I tell them my age.
“I think I look great, maybe because I’ve never been married or had kids. I’m fun and have bundles of energy.”

Pam, of Wigan, Greater Manchester, lived with mum Lilian until she died aged 97 in 1995.

She opened shows for comic Ken Dodd and crooner Englebert Humperdinck, performed on stage in Las Vegas and shared a dressing room with The Voice judge Tom Jones, now 71, during a week-long stint at Bolton Casino.

Pam said: “I was never short of offers in my heyday.

“Men saw the outfits I wore on stage and thought I would be easy.

“But I’ve never really been intimate with a man, just a bit of kissing. I had a sexy stage name and dressed sexy but that was all for my career.

“There has never been time for me to get a man. I worked so much that sometimes I’d only have an hour’s sleep each night. I wouldn’t entertain the idea of sex outside marriage — and marriage meant giving up on my dreams.”

Even when surrounded by some of the world’s hottest hunks, Pam held out.

She said: “Tom Jones was very good looking and we used to chat occasionally before I went on stage as the opening act. In the late 60s we performed together. There was only a curtain separating our dressing areas.”

Pam told how Eurovision hopeful Humperdinck, now 75, did think about trying it on.

    #Florida

    FORT LAUDERDALE—
A resident on Wednesday called some thieves "stupid" for breaking into his home while it was tented for fumigation.

"They're obviously not very smart to go inside a house full of poison," said T.V. Sagnella, who lives in the burglarized two-story home in the 400 block of Southwest 18th Avenue. "I wouldn't kill myself for an Xbox."

The Microsoft Xbox video-game console was among several items targeted by the thieves, who didn't get a chance to steal much because of a swift police response, Sagnella said.

While police were outside the house, they got a tip that some jewelry stolen from the home was being taken to Lauderhill's Swap Shop flea market, police said. Later, officers pulled over the burglars' vehicle and found the stolen jewelry inside the car, police said.

Darrin Green, 20, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on a burglary charge, police said. A third suspect, Demar Hylton, 19, was taken into custody on unrelated warrants. His unrelated charges were robbery, assault on law enforcement and possession of an illegal weapon, police said.

Wednesdays' break-in is one of several fumigation-related crimes to happen sporadically in South Florida and the United States. Last month in Miami Beach, a suspect was arrested on charges he cut openings in a home's fumigation tent, cracked a safe and stole about $300,000 worth of jewelry, police said.

Burglars consider tents over homes an obvious sign that nobody's home. Residents should remove valuables from residences before fumigation, authorities say. They also should notify their local law enforcement agency so officers can increase patrols in the area while the residents are away.

Before Wednesday's burglary in Fort Lauderdale, Sagnella and his family figured someone might try to break in during the fumigation. They placed cameras inside the home. The surveillance system lets the family watch live video footage from afar, through a computer, tablet or other hand-held device.

About 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sagnella's brother remotely logged in and checked the footage, wanting to ensure no one had broken in, Sagnella said. Instead, his brother saw burglars inside the home while lifting their shirts over their faces.

Even though the burglars broke in without triggering the alarm, the alarm eventually went off. As police arrived, the burglars still were inside the house, Sagnella said.

"When the police surrounded it, they just dropped everything and ran," Sagnella said. They might have escaped through the back of the house, he said.

The toxic gases in the residence prevented officers from going inside to check for burglars, but they did canvass the area around it. As workers from a pest company dismantled the tent Wednesday, Sagnella looked on.

"It was burning my eyes standing 10 feet from the house," he said. "I'm sure they [the thieves] were in some pain."

    thread winner perhaps?
LUXOR, Egypt (AP) — The funeral of a 28 year-old waiter in southern Egypt turned into a celebration when he woke up after being declared dead.

Hospital officials had pronounced dead Hamdi Hafez al-Nubi, who came from the village of Naga al-Simman in the southern province of Luxor, after he suffered a heart attack while working.

His family says grieving relatives took him home and, according to Islamic tradition, washed his body and prepared him for burial Friday evening.

A doctor sent to sign the death certificate found it strange that his body was warm. At closer observation she discovered he was still alive.

His mother fainted upon hearing the good news.

With the doctor's assistance, both al-Nubi and his mother were awakened and soon were celebrating with guests.

Not exactly grocery store, but nowhere else to put it really.

The local homeowners association has been such a thorn in Lucas' side that he's decided to abandon the studio construction entirely, issuing this official statement about Lucasfilm's withdrawal of the new studio:

The level of bitterness and anger expressed by the homeowners in Lucas Valley has convinced us that, even if we were to spend more time and acquire the necessary approvals, we would not be able to maintain a constructive relationship with our neighbors.
We love working and living in Marin, but the residents of Lucas Valley have fought this project for 25 years, and enough is enough. Marin is a bedroom community and is committed to building subdivisions, not business. Many years ago, we tried to stop the Lucas Valley Estates project from being built, but we failed, and we now have a subdivision on our doorstep.
So what is George Lucas going to do with his property now that he's tired of his rich neighbors putting up a not-in-my-backyard stink? He wants to transform the property into low-income housing, naturally, ending their official statement with this zinger, "If everyone feels that housing is less impactful on the land, then we are hoping that people who need it the most will benefit."

He's working with the Marin Community Foundation to instead construct affordable housing for either low-income families or seniors living on small, fixed incomes. In order to smooth along the development, he's already given them all of the pricey technical studies and land surveys Lucasfilm spent years conducting. And we think that's just great. Because if there's one thing rich people will hate more than having movie magic made in their backyard, it's poor people moving in.

I live in rich people territory, and they fucking love drama. Whatever it is, they love it. I had a neighbor buy huge floodlights and position them at our fucking windows and our front door. A fly moves? Fuckers went off. We asked them to redirect the lights at their own property, and they ignored us. We had to call the township and even under threat of a fine, they ignored them too. They were then fined and made to remove the lights entirely or face steeper fines. Rich people are dicks.

    More power to Lucas!
