I don't imagine that laser would be anymore powerful that what's his face in negative avatar giant mode. She should just go spirit jump avatar and pwn then in their face. But I'm sure they'll just take it out now that what's his face is going to be back on their side after Kuvira tried to kill everyone.

Why are they ending the show with the worst villain? Kuvira is just evil for evil's sake. They even went out of their way to point out that previous villains had noble goals but awful methods in the swamp episode.

She's pretty much the same as Ozai imo

Not as interesting as Zaheer, but still a good villain.

What's good about her? She's just a power-hungry tyrant with no established motivation except that maybe she was jealous of Suyin? She's completely flat and boring.

^this. Even Ozai was more interesting since it was Mark Hamill. I kept hoping someone more sinister was pulling Kuvira's strings, but this far in it seems unlikely.

Ozai also wasn't really the villain of TLA. He was a looming threat, but the real antagonists were Zuko, Zhao, and Azula.

She looks more like Sozin, to me.

Remember he started with the intention of sharing Fire Nation prosperity with the world, by way of domination; Kuvira's vision of restoring the Earth Kingdom's greatness... by way of domination.

Besides 3/4th of this season being about a PTSD Korra, Kuvira certainly isn't helping this season either imo. As pointed out she is flat and boring and as also pointed out they already did this type of character before with Sozin.

When the episode aired of Korra meeting Zaheer, Zaheer was and still is more of a bad-ass (even in captivity) than Kuvira has been this entire season. She's predictable as fuck.

The more I watch of this season, the more I wish it ended after season 3.

I can appreciate it from the perspective that the Earth Kingdom losing territory was a major conflict in the first comic arc and it's nice to see problems that have lasted over sixty years or however long.. However, that doesn't do much to improve Kuvira. As others have said, she's just a generic leader who lacks the grander goals of Korra's other foes.

Exactly what I was going to say. I just realized it last episode (somehow), but with the way the Avatar world has been progressing, we're pretty much at the WWII stage at this point, and this entire thing has been a metaphor for WWII. The spirit vine is the atom bomb, Kuvira's Hitler, and her troops are Nazis. (I'm not sure where giant robots figure into this metaphor, but if the show hadn't gone full-anime before, it certainly has now).

That doesn't make her less boring as a villain, unfortunately, but at least she's fulfilling a pretty notable role. I don't think one has to have a specific motivation to want to carry out a vision like unifying the world under one banner.

Great finale. If they removed Season 2 (save for the origin of the first Avatar and like..Verick) then I think it'd have been really good. Sadly all the super shipper shit really ran it down the tube and then most of S2 did the same. S3 was great, and S4 was alright but.. action was just top notch.

I am rather surprised they were able to convince nick with the ending pairing. at least all the production drama is over but a shame we will possible never seen another action show staring a female protagonist for at least 5-10 years.

now all Nick has left is TMNT.
