I actually liked this episode way more than i thought i would, and i'm liking bolin more and more.

The amount of shipper trolling in this episode is glorious. Apparently tumblr went insane with half of it calling Korra a slut and the other half claiming that if a guy did it he wouldn't be called that which is technically true. The guy would actually be called a supreme jackass.

Bolin is confirmed for the best guy ever.

They didn't take their time getting into the romance, let alone resolving it. How that they've worked all that out, maybe we';ll actually get around to seeing Korra airbend before season's end.

But anyway, let's discuss Bolin, who is awesome even when reduced to a puddle of tears.

Man, I like the Great Divide episode. True, it's totally filler, but I find it very fun to watch. The twist at the end is good too, even if you see it coming Aang is such a smug little goblin about it lol. Actually been rewatching the series and got to the first Jet episode (the Great Divide comes right after it, actually) and I remembered how much Jet annoys me. I really don't like that ep very much at all. Poor Sokka gets shit on too much, too.

I'm not looking forward to watching this ep of Korra because it's going to be everything I wished it wouldn't be.

I must admit, I laughed my ass off at the burping scene with Bolin.

And, I admit I did like the Great Divide--the first time I watched the series. After that I just kinda skipped it...

Chirst, the contrived drama this episode. The previous episode summary even completely skipped the bit about Korra being confronted by Amon. That doesn't really seem like shit you should gloss over in favor of... this.

I admit the short intro threw me off the 1st time they did it in episode 3. I'm so used to hearing the whole thing from A:tLA so it felt jarring that the whole thing is like 10 seconds now lol.

I don't mind it so much if it means it makes slightly more time for actual story screen time.

The romance did feel a bit rushed, and perhaps a little awkward. I suppose we do have to remember that these are teenagers in a much more modernized world compared to TLAB, and that Korra isn't very subtle with pretty much anything she does. Like, anything.

But I do admit that this latest episode wasn't all too interesting (cringe worthy at some points, with a side of "Oh God, don't do that" moments), but hey, teenagers right? Right? But seriously, I'm assuming a lot of the people in this thread are at least in their twenties or more, and we'll all matured with age. It's painful to watch the characters awkwardness and uncertainty, but maybe that's how we're supposed to feel yanno?

Just two cents!

I know he's seemingly over it at this point but I can't help but feel really bad for Bolin. Especially since he's a pretty legit dude on top of being New Sokka.

They seemed to explore and resolve the romantic bits all in this one episode, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they picked back up on the romance in later episodes, if not more subtly.

I don't think they're done yet, there's still plenty of time for Korra to realize how great she and Bolin would be together.
