I obviously don't that mean it's literally Amon in the reflection lol. But I think the reflection was deliberately made to resemble Amon, showing that he and Tarlok are similar (in goals/personality/whatever). I thought it was pretty noticeable, but I guess not.

And what if "you don't know a lot about me" is a reference to using his Waterbending as a means to remove, or block, another bender's bending. I'm thinking that none of those benders truly had their bending removed -- Just blocked in some way.

Unrelated to that: Asami is gonna go battshit insane when Mako ends up with Korra, calling it. Sucks cause I kinda like Asami now...

Only problem with that theory is after Tahno gets his bending taken, he stated he's been to the city's best healers to try and undo it. I would think he plus many others tried the same thing without success.

It could be a block similar to what happened to Aang and his Avatar State.

I see your point: But I still question it -- This has only happened once that we know of with Aang/Firelord. This may be something different and unheard of. Bloodbending and Metalbending were unheard of, why not this? No one WOULD know how to cure it.

Just a guess, but I think the 'you don't know about me' may be referring to him being a bloodbender, which to Korra still seems to be a rarity, though obviously we know Katara's able to do it as well. Honestly, I don't think Lightning bending/bloodbending/metalbending is a rare 'unheard of' thing anymore really considering it's 70 years later and people have had chances to study it and everything. But yeah.. I do think Tarlok's one of two things; a crazy bastard who just wants power, having no connection to Amon and using the confusion in the city as a distraction for his own gain, or he is related to Amon/is Amon and shit will get serious. I do think he's related to that guy from the flashback, though.

While the other two are common, I get the feeling bloodbending is still super rare, on account of it's a pretty fucked up technique, so why would someone teach it to a lot of people? Lightning has become common because its used in factories and shit. Metalbending is great for the cops. Bloodbending will never have a reason to be widely taught like those.

As far as Tarlok. When he was completely segregating nonbenders and giving only them a curfew and shit, there was no question in my mind that he is at least working for Amon. When he started to arrest Korra's friends along with them, I started to think that maybe he is just a really spiteful asshole. Then he tried to kill Korra, so I'm back on the Teamed up with Amon side of things lol.

It's not. It's the guy they were talking about a few episodes ago that Aang had to take care of. People would probably notice if Tarlok has been around for 50 years and hasn't aged, especially after he bloodbended the Avatar lol.

But yes, after reading that theory about the flashbacks on that tumblr someone just posted, it is quite curious how Katara isn't quite shown yet. I'm secretly hoping for her to make a really epic entrance when it all comes together~

Also, I'm so glad when they had that moment between Asami looking back at Korra and Mako that it didn't "explode" into a teenage jealousy fest. I'm glad it was just played out as a sort of silent tension rather than something outright confrontational (at least for now).

Why can't next week be here already? Sigh~
