I laughed so hard at this scene.
I love the faces they make in the series. I still feel Sokka well and alive in this series lol.
Ah god, it was amazing.
I was worried about the voice acting because of what someone said earlier, but I thought it was great.
Also, was worried about how "advanced" technology was going to be, but it wasn't too bad at all.
And the characters are lovable. Still some faces we know, and they are mentioned.
Comedy was gold. Fuck yea, as someone said earlier, if this ep is any indication of the rest of the series, we are good to fucking go.
FUCKKKKKK
I can't EVER hear Steve Blum's voice with out thinking of Spike Speigal. This almost ruins the series for me...almost.
LOL
But yeah, .loved it. Quality was superb. Can't wait for.. the rest obviously.
@Sokka
Spoiler: show
PM link plz!
ok so ive got the torrent file of the full first episode just dl'd and started watching O M G yessss , but the quality is really crappy...
thats it ....2mins in im sold this shit is glorious
Gonna wait til it actually comes out to watch it, the one I found was shit quality and I'm too spoiled on HD to settle for pixelation.![]()
So I'm wondering how often Toph got arrested by her own daughter for brawling and general reckless behavior. Because I didn't see her calming down in her old age.
So after watching the intro + episode a few times there are a couple things I was thinking:
During the intro it shows Kyoshi and Roku bending and then an airbender which I assume is adult Aang with a beard.
Second, it seems Korra is the opposite of Aang in terms of skill. She seems to be stronger as far as bending the elements, but has little skill in the spiritual side; Aang had more of a knack of slipping in and out the spirit world without any real training in it. Aang had to learn the elements in a rush so it's hard to judge his true skill after fight Ozai.
Mindless rambling etc. I just like to speculate~
^I haven't watched the ep yet, but Aang never had any real "masters" teaching him bending other than the Air Monks. He learned everything through his friends (who were quite talented of course, or naturals at it etc). Korra, I imagine, has had official training from masters since the Avatar isn't someone who's "enemy of the state" and its more like the times before Aang.
Spoiler: show
I could nitpick and say that Aang did have "masters" teach him the other 3 elements. Master Pakku does recognize Katara as a Master in the beginning of season 2. Toph was without a doubt the best earth bender in the world (discovering metal bending), and for fire he had the last 2 dragons to teach him true fire bending.
I do agree that Korra has had proper time and tutoring and for the year that Aang had, he did well against Ozai.
Well, Korra's 16 I believe? 16 of 17. Aang was 12-13 (by the end) when he had to learn it all in a rush/save the world/worry about killing Zuko's dad/get chased by Crazula..etc.
So the circumstances were too different to really compare Korra to Aang. Flip the script and put Aang in Korra's situation? He'd probably be a faster, natural learner as well, but that's not how things went sadly.
But yeah, Aang did have Masters (to an extent) who taught him his bending as well.. he just never had too long to sit down and concentrate because they were either running from people chasing them, or worrying about something else.
and I've been waiting for this ever since I heard rumors of it a few years back.. so I didn't care if the quality was mehtastic. I had to get my fill and oh god did I

Also, I forgot to add that the music snippets, while short are simply amazing.
The beginning where Tenzen is talking about the past and it goes into Republic City and when Korra takes the dogthing out for a run where the most notable to me.
Yeah, A:TLA always had fantastic music and this is no different
