Fantastic set of episodes. The fight scenes were really amazing, especially the one near the end of ep05.

I thought Lin was mad because her sister's life is so seemingly effortlessly perfect and everything has worked out for her (don't you just hate those people?). It seemed too petty a reason for her to have the full-on hate going though. Not being able to have kids is a reason that fits really well, especially considering how she treated Opal. ...I still don't think that's a very good reason to hate her family (in fact, I'd think it should be the opposite - can't have kids, so spend a lot of time with her sister's), but I guess we'll see if there's something else going on altogether.

I just get such a vibe from Lin's sister, like she's going to somehow ruin everything she's worked for her whole life in a huge display of freakout. Possibly while trying to overthrow the Earth Queen, as people have been speculating. And then Toph will come and sort them all out and it'll be all happy and great again and yay Toph (my favorite TLA character)!

Oh, and I really wanted to see Lin vs the Dai Li, it'd be like Toph vs Dai Li (round 2)... but alas.

GDI. Still wanna know if Sokka/Suki ended up being a thing, along with Zuko/Mai.

Zuko and Mai broke up during one of the comics -- waiting to read the latest one till it's all out, so don't know if they got back together.

Her not being able to have kids is probably part of it, but I think it's more straightforward than that. Her sister hires criminals to do her work (and probably used to be a criminal/pirate herself), and while on the surface it seems legit it probably isn't especially considering Varrek is there. Also, one person creating an entire city all above board? That and the anti-Queen comments seems to imply she isn't at all honest. Lin could be holding back because she knows her sister is a criminal and maybe doesn't want to get close to the kids to avoid hurting them/getting hurt or having to reveal how she feels etc.

Btw, Varrek is back so fuck yeah. I love that guy.

Cannot get over how great the pacing is in this season. I get worried something is going to drag out for too long, but am always pleasantly surprised.

Xavir (or whatever his name is) training in the air temple. I was expecting it to go on for a few episodes and get tiresome. Bam, Kia brings some amazing waterbending (glad to see them show her having kick ass offensive abilities: the daughter of Katara only as a healer annoyed me)

I think the Metal city was the training camp Toph had for training the Metal benders. In the lastest comic "The Rift part 1" she is trying to find a way to make the small shack into something bigger only to find out maybe her father might get in the way. I'm trying to look for the second chapter that has supposedly been released already.

Very. This season is amazing. Only thing I'm disappointed about is how fast it's going.

Lin and Suyin's childhood and fight were great. I always wondered how Lin got those scars on her face.

Then the airbenders trying to adjust to their new lives was great to. Especially at the end when they all banded together to take out those bandits.

Bald-man stole episode 7 for me. Season has been excellent so far. I think next week's episodes are going to be pretty action oriented based on trailer footage.
