During the last expansion, which is when I started playing WoW, I focused all my efforts on one character. I got 100,000 honorable kills, completed every battleground achievement and maxed out battleground reputation, got over 9000 achievement points, ranked top .5% for Gladiator in arena season 8, and did tons of heroic raiding. However, I haven't been participating in any PVE content since the latest expansion went live. I've been leveling characters and gearing them up for PVP. I have 7 level 85 characters and I'm leveling an 8th at this very moment. Gearing up each character in full honor gear is about a 200 hour grind per character. I would compare what I do in WoW to playing an FPS game. I'm not playing to achieve any better gear or accomplish anything new, I'm playing to stomp scrubs all day. All I do in WoW anymore is arena and battlegrounds, it's not like FFXI where you go kill a boss and then idle in Jeuno all day, there's an active PVP element of this game. Every character can have a 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 team, so I'm constantly playing different set ups with different people. And every character has 3 different talent trees that I can customize for radically different gameplay. So in essence I have 21 different styles that I can play for whatever sounds like fun at the time.

Also, having so many different characters lets me play the most overpowered shit every balance patch which makes it even more fun

And sadly I haven't been playing WoW 16 hours a day lately because college is being a fucking hater and I spend like 20 hours a week at school including travel time and waiting before classes because I catch a ride with my friend when he goes because I don't have a car(decided to stop fucking around and buy one next semester since I'll have like $5K) and I've actually been doing my homework recently so that's been taking up a gay amount of time

So, considering you don't do PvE content in WoW... are you considering Guild Wars 2? Of course I say this with the assumption that they will allow you to create max level characters that are specific to the PvP mode of play like they did with the first Guild Wars, allowing you to skip the level grind and get straight into the action or are you too invested in WoW?

I don't see myself leaving WoW unless something absolutely amazing comes out. And I have my doubts that any other MMO will be able to compete with WoW for a very long time. Then again, when I played FFXI I couldn't imagine anything being better, but the difference between WoW and FFXI was night and day when I finally tried it out. You have to remember that I've been playing this game for over two years with no sign of slowing down, I truly have a lot of fun which wasn't the case with FFXI.
