i can see them adding new items to tease people back to CB, but was never a big fan of CB

they should add curor style boosts to CB. i miss my hp boosts outside abyssea

Cool overlooked that! HQ is really easy in synergy too, should be fun to atleast toy with. Items are always need to upgrade stuff, I hope they aren't too gay to obtain.

Either way I think its sad that they have to keep old gear alive. why the hell does it matter? just because people cant let go? wasted time on the gear? I lol every time.

The way I see it, if they abandoned all the gear from sea/sky/salvage, it's entire zones becoming useless. Unless they pump out an incredible amount of new content worthy to take the place of previous endgame then it actually makes the game worse. People will fly through abyssea to 99 and ignore everything else. Kinda sad considering how much work was put into creating all those old zones.

I haven't played in quite a while now but I still follow these forums and the patch notes. Didn't they change the medals so that they don't expire, provided you have progressed far enough in the WotG missions? The further you get in the missions, the higher your "minimum" medal is. If you finish all the way to the end, you will keep even the final Medal forever.

Am I mistaken?

Germane to OP: Give me ~STR+5 on my Usulegs, and I'll bother with it. Given how situational the gear in the game is, it seems pretty likely that quite a few things will end up with the possibility of being the 'best-in-slot' for particular situations. I'd rather the SE's random number generator have as little influence as possible, though. I hate that fucking thing.

To put some input on the Synergy topic:

Someone asked about earrings, where someone else makes them for you. You CAN do this, however, YOU must have completed the synergy quest, which involes going to Palborough mines. You need the key item to feed items to the synergy furnace.

Why is this relevant? If you want someone to augment your Heca Cap+1 for resist wind +2, you need to have completed the synergy quest.

How? Did to 75 on my main hasting myself spamming earth fewell on nuggets and it wasn't bad, but it was no where close to a few hours.

Minor correction is needed here. They didn't exactly say what gear would be upgraded via synergy. While it looks like your assumption is a safe one, it might not hold true. They did say in one of the other Q & A's that some of the old armor upgrades would be done via trials while some would be done via other methods (meaning the synergy). There is still a shot that salvage gear upgrades won't be covered in the synergy stuff.

A: Yes. Future updates will introduce not only a host of new items, but also new upgrade possibilities for existing weapons and armor. Methods including but not limited to Trial of the Magians are in the works, and we think you'll enjoy what we have in store.

Its no big deal. Father in just means putting your time in, in this case the quests.
If your well in the WoTG missions you shouldn't have any issues:
