At first I was like fuck 3D, but then I thought about it and they could actually pull off something cool with it since it's Silent Hill. Guess we shall see.

For Silent Hill fans, I’m afraid the waiting game has truly begun for all of us. The movie is complete and is now in the hands of the producers who are deciding when and how to release the picture. I can honestly tell you that you now know as much as I do. i.e. nothing at all.

Finally, a release date!

Hi there…. well some of you were of little faith but finally we’ve got a release date for SH2 and it’s a great one. Opening across the country on Halloween 2012. October 26th, to be precise. It was a tough one to nail down because there’s always so much competition on the great weekends and that’s why it took a while to make sure it was official but Samuel Hadida managed to make it happen. Power to him. We’re opening wide in the US and I suspect that the rest of the world will follow with releases are the same time. Expect trailers, promo materials and all that other good stuff to begin to appear quite soon.

Coming up fast though, is San Diego Comic Con and I’m delighted to say that I will going this year. There’s going to be a Silent Hill presentation (details to be kept under wraps until the distributors say otherwise) but I’m sure that lucky (and patient) fans will be getting eyes on some scenes and I’ll be doing a Q&A with the cast if all goes well. Then I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a screening of Solomon Kane with James Purefoy and I on hand to introduce and meet fans and, I think also, a Strikeback presentation too but in truth as I doubt I’ll be invited to that one. Either way, I love Comic Con and it’s going to be crazy busy. I’m planning on having a fantastic time there this year.
