Ugh I didn't like the trailer already, it doesn't have the same creepy feeling that the first one had. I really hope this doesn't go the way of resident evil.

I just don't get how they will tie the two movies together. Wasn't Heather/Dark Alessa stuck with Rose in their own Silent Hill? Not sure how she got out to go on the run with Chris/Harry. Makes my head hurt and also makes me worry about how good the movie will be... Seems too Hollywood just from the trailer.

Pretty sure this movie is considered a reboot, just so happens sean bean is in it once again.

This. I saw the first one opening weekend, no regrets. Pyramid head on the big screen was worth the ticket price.

I love Silent Hill, don't get me wrong. But this...not sure if want. I feel like they took the movies down the same path as Resident Evil. They kept some elements of the story and some of the major characters, but they displaced them and took them a different direction. Of course it would be difficult to make a movie based STRICTLY on the content of the games (seeing as in Silent Hill the protagonist is alone a majority of the time), but I feel like they are using the power of the Silent Hill name to sell these movies. There are ways you could do it to make it okay for a character to be alone for long stretches of time. Granted, the special effects of "other world" are pretty spot on. The other world sequences in the first movie genuinely frightened me.

Conclusion: I'll probably see it, but I'll also probably leave disappointed.
