I assume evening out Relics would come down to making the respective weaponskills not suck? Sure, some weapons get away with a passable WS (Kaiten, Metatron, Mercy) but jobs like MNK being tied to Final Heaven or DRG w/Gierksogul could use an overhaul.
Mythics would be pretty easy to fix: lower the damn Alex to 10k, increase the droprates by a ton (throw drops into Nyzul along with Salvage?) and rework the aftermaths so OAT is level 2 or something.
mythic should just be AM = 100>40 200>50 300>60 % DA
but i don't have my hopes up shit will probably just be another 10% WSD and another shit trial to get it.
This is what everybody thought before one was made? Made the most sense to me too. Not your % though, was thinking more 30%>40%>50% along with acc and att buff based on TP. I think if they do it that way though they'd probably remove the 3min aftermath on 300tp.
To even out the difference? Compared to what? Emps? Inc 2 day relics? =DWe are aware that right now, there is a major difference between Empyrean Weapons and Relic/Mythic Weapons.
Considering the current situation, we are considering about making an adjustment. We are planning to resolve this issue by strengthening both Relic and Mythic Weapons instead of weakening Empyrean Weapons.
Along with that, we are also planning to make an adjustment on both time and cost required to create and strengthen these weapons.
Eventually, we would like to even out the difference on time required to create and strengthen these weapons.
Seems the crap on official forums "helped"? I always figured there would simply be a WS in the 90-99 region to compensate relic and mythic or more buffs to relic and mythic WS and if not, tough shit lol.
Hope they remove the alex shit or some quest shit completely from Mythics. I might make one just for the hell of it if they do.
The problem with all the relics is this:
Mandau: Description: [1 hit attack]. Add effect: Temporarily improves critical hit rate, duration varies with TP.
Spharai: Description: [1 hit attack]. Add effect: Temporarily enhances Subtle Blow effect, duration varies with TP.
Metatron: Description: [1 hit attack] that Lowers target's defense. Additional effect: temporarily lowers damage taken from enemies, duration varies with TP
Its a standard pattern across all relics. 1 hit attack, can't crit, single stat mod whos damage doesnt vary with TP, and what is now a mediocre TP mod (which once again, doesnt vary with TP, because TP variance is used to determine duration of aftermath).
However, while empyrian weapons also have an aftermath that is determined by TP, it doesnt cockblock other TP effects (usually crit hit rate or TP mods). The ODD effect on empyrian WS also have a crazy proc rate, and generally out do any relic weapon aftermath.
inb4 they just give me more subtle blow for using Final Heaven because in SE's eyes there are no caps in this game.
Inb4 they give +10 damage to all relics/mythics and call it even.
I already have the ZNM triggers so if they drop the Alexandrite requirement I'll definitely make a Burtgang.

You would need to remove so many requirements, such as assault reclears
Basicially it would have to be something like
25,000 ichor 25,000 tokens 5k alex and a PW pop.
At that point you might as well just get one for logging in![]()
Ive already got everything sans assault reclears and alex, just from playing aht urghan when it came out. I did nyzul religiously and Ein, well, when the ls went so thats not hard at all. It really does just come down to alex.
Remember that the 2-day Empyrean is probably not what they're talking about... the average player will still take a few weeks, maybe a month or two, to get an Empyrean weapon. Only a highly efficient, optimal group is going to get them done in 2 days, and as we stated before, an "optimal" group can do a relic in just about the same time (starting from scratch it takes only a little over a week to get your three key items), assuming they have the money to just outright buy the coins.
Mythics though, take at least 100+ days or so (too lazy to maths it perfectly) just by nature. And that's assuming you still do Einherjar, Assault, and Nyzul at every available opportunity.
Even if you get a relic/mythic you've got a ton of trials with stupid killshots on obscure mobs/families to get it up to emp level, that alone would take longer than it'd take to get an emp weapon.
1501 tokens for 100 floor clear provided you have band and dont port up is 99 days since you cant do any assaults while getting tokens add another 55 days on top of that.
if you do 1-2-3-odin you average 1805 ichor a run so 55 runs or 27 weeks to get the ichor.
A months worth of ichor is 14,440 and a months worth of tokens is 45030.
if you get 70 alex a day average its 2100 alex in a month
and the 1200 mobs you need for 75-85 you can probably do in from anywhere from 1-4 days.
i finished verethragna from VNM stage to lv80 in like 3 weeks going at a fairly casual pace. i think most of that was done in like 4 or 5 farming sessions lasting ~5hrs each during weekends when we had our full crew available.
