    I guess it doesn't really matter, since it's going to be impossible to open new tiers in the test server (unless they add some debug stuff, which lets you open those confluxes, but who am I kidding, that would actually be a smart thing to do,) but then what the FUCK was the point of this test server update?

    Wasn't it -just- posted that the adjustment included having access to all walks right away?

    Looks like there was a small update on the 2nd. I haven't logged in for a few days, so I'm not sure if the client was updated, too.

    At the following time and date, FINAL FANTASY XI was updated.

    The following bugs have been addressed for the battlefields Empty Hopes, Empty Dreams, Empty Desires, and Empty Aspirations:

    - A bug wherein the announcement for the remaining time is displayed earlier than the actual time for the 5 minute and 3 minute marks.

    - Countermeasures have been implemented for the bug wherein certain party members may not be able to enter when the party enters a battlefield.

    Wouldn't the Refresh from Claustrum be classified as Aftermath and thus be out of scope of the Sublimation/Refresh rules?

    And there's no way in hell I'm arguing that it should be done.

    I am all for changes, but WHAT THE FUCK? Is this a pressing issue? Were there people camped out in protest in front of Square's headquarters demanding justice for special characters in macro names? Did I miss all of the protest songs about special characters in macros names? Did Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon make a politically aware movie about the horrors of discrimination against special characters in macro names? Where the fuck did this come from? Just... What the fuck?

    EDIT: didn't see the new page after getting hit with the huge What-the-fuck-truck of special characters in macros.

    Are the Japanese limited to using the roman alphabet in their macro lines or can they use their kanji and stuff?

    I am not even sure about that really. If you couldn't use special characters in the macro lines, sure. But would anyone other than a very small (like one or two people total) minority actually give enough of a fuck about this to waste dev time with it? I'm smelling a Cheese Sandwich, and it doesn't smell very good.

    I think maybe they are; I looked at old Japanese videos and all of the ones I've seen so far have macros with roman alphabet names.

    Would be more interesting if it was on a separate timer (unable to overlap) and did something completely different.

    Back on the first test server release, there was zero community response to the EN test server forum, but almost every other thread on the JP section had one from a dev.

    Are people really surprised lol?

    Language barrier etc. Apparently there was some sort of a debacle on the pet voting for bst as well that somehow ended up in jp favor despite hippo jug being 4th overall.

    Basically, Scorp/Ruszor/Slime all beat Hippo in votes overall, but Hippo was the most popular in the JP boards and people are pissed off the whole thing was positioned as a vote. The only way they could have figured Hippo was the most popular is that it was the highest-voted on JP and Germany's boards and Scorp only got the most votes on the NA board. Of course, that means more regions want the Hippo, right? Well, the vote was still a landslide, with the tallied-across-all-servers ending up being (I think) 47-27 for Scorp/Hippo.

    SE has declined to comment. More at 11.

    Perhaps SE's community staff are delegates for the forum members. That would explain the low numbers.
