I solo'd all 5 of mine (except some parts of the cure pot). Even the dark dmg one (yep, killshots with drain/noctohelix)
Man up ladies.
Spoiler: show
p.s. This was all on SCH, forgot to add.

Wow, sounds like you needed an "I tried to make a lot of staves." option added here:

Yeah idk how I haven't gone crazy either. Obvious answer already was etc.
Soloed 6/7 of mine, but dark damage staff I just grabbed a MNK from linkshell and got it done far quicker. I have 2 light path staves (one cure pot, one magic damage+6) but I have a decent nuking set for Holy II so it was worth doing.
Haven't done any of the magic acc staves, if I feel I need one I'll just do the Shareeravadi MP+/Magic Acc+ path.
It is amazing how many people will make multiple Empyrean weapons but won't do elemental staves. Septimus has all 8 perp staves to either +2 or +3 and a Cure Potency staff +1, Atum has Cure potency with thunder, ice, wind, and dark damage to +2 or +3 and was working on fire, water, earth, and light damage.
And people think that anyone who doesn't have an Empyrean is lazy. >_>
It's a lot easier and less tedious to make an empyrean than a magian staff imo. An empyrean will also increase your performance a lot more than a magian stave will, generally speaking.
The magian perp staves are why I don't even want to touch smn.
You don't really need those in any modern events due to temps/refresh out the ass. Pet:MAB staff and that's about it for all I'd care for until SE does something drastic with the job.
I will say though, fuck CurePot staff. I 2box'd it for both my accounts up until the 2nd bottled pixie trial. Even with best speed conditions (WHM for recall and D2, SMN for Fleet Wind/farming the drops) it was too tedious running back/forth to fucking Grauberg[S].
my main's cure potency staff is a Surya's Staff, no +1 or anything because I cannot bring myself to gear up BLM and kill fairys using the bullshit staff.
After the 3rd time I went out there and no one was there I gave up. Keep in mind Asura has a much lower JP population compared to Carblemesh. I might try and con a friend into farming gold chests via cataclysm burn tomorrow now that I think about it.
I don't think that the empyrean staff is nearly as good for SMN, BLM, or SCH as the proper magian staves would be. Same for club for WHM or sword for RDM.
Bribing a few friends to help is the best way to do that trial.
Pixies count as elementals, it would be much easier and faster to get a few DDs to murderize them than to kill Yagudo pets. I did mine the horrible old-fashioned way with RDM and SCH nukes on the pets near Oztroja (S), that would probably be a breeze with a 99 BLM or SCH. (But not as efficient as it could be in Abyssea.)
Did both trials in one lightsday cleaving in Grauberg
Key to cure potency trial is having a BLM to kill the yag next to the gate crystal. after the yag is dead retrace the WHM/BRD and then whm run to the campaign porter npc, it's a pretty quick run with mazurka on to the spring, just have to watch out for aggro from true sight hippogryphs. once you trade recall again and the yag should be up again. It's not that bad really. like 10 minutes per trade or so.
Where-abouts is that yag next to crystal? I tried to look for it once, no luck. Ended up using the one just outside of Oztroja[S] for whm 2box, and then the one right inside for myself. Instant Retrace scrolls are handy.
Its down the stairs behind the crystal. I've seen some groups/people troll and pull it far away and hold it before
There is also a Yagudo High Priest near the entrance to the Castle. Just have the BLM nuke it as soon as the WHM enters the zone, can recall out to Pashhow and chocobo to the Fey Spring. Takes a little longer, but if the close one is taken, better than any alternative that I can think of.
The yag near the crystal only shows if Windy doesn't control the zone, so people not seeing it wouldn't surprise me. When I did mine, I wound up killing the one near the castle, then did the recall/choco/trade/recall bit. Playing footsies with hippo aggro feels like it'd take way too long running to the spring and back to the campaign NPC.
