loldrachen roll maybe? drg is such a unique DD, going back to loldrg days would make me sad.... calling your wyvern and losing it to bomb toss within minutes and watching the 2 hrs tick by till you can call it again, basically having to solo cause xp ptys would rather have a melee rdm than a drg, penta being good but sams can do it better...

Does MAB affect wyvern breaths (like it does on elemental WS and elemental magic), or are wyvern breaths not considered elemental damage? Or is breath damage in a category of it's own, not affected by MAB or MDB?

You are sadly in a delusion, as it really still is the loldrg days. It's a large amount behind all the top DDs in the game and has few uses besides VW procs.(none) Mind you I enjoy shit jobs myself sometimes, because they are entertaining and whatever DD you go for old content doesn't really matter either.

I could, but that's what I do. And it would be very, very difficult.

I wonder if they hired hordecore to write that, there aren't that many people on the planet who are capable of trolling that hard.

Shit, no math courses for 3yrs (4 if you want to talk about ln). DRG is facing terrible opposition at this point since DRG is one of the few DDs (Only DD?) incapable of boosting their attack either via sub WAR or main ability.

Yeah what it comes down to really is drgs lack of atk. They suffer more than any other DD as far as I know.

Or they could do something silly like if it loads into the loot pool of someone who has that item already, it then moves into another loot pool until if finds someone without it. Not perfect, but better than the same people getting the same stuff over and over again.

Or SE could continue to be the cocksucks we all know and lovehate.

Seriously, I wish very hard I could punch each and every dev on that team. They are an insult to my industry and ought to be ashamed of themselves.

But then you could just have a 17/18 alliance of people with the rare drop and you can make the person buy it since it forces to them *SE trollface*

Of course such a statement would be completely oblivious to the fact you'd need to get 17 people together with said r/e item which would be a pinnacle achievement in itself.

Well, of course it would would be oblivious to reality, they are doing a fairly good job of that.

New posts about COR and BLU adjustments

Though Drachen Roll gives magic attack bonus to pets, this does not affect wyvern’s attack breath, and in the case of battles that are dependent on a pet’s magic attack, a dragoon will not be in the party for the bonus.
In order to allow for better use of the job bonuses, we are currently looking into swapping the stats on Drachen Roll and Puppet Roll. We are making preparations so that this can be implemented onto the test server along with the other roll adjustments.

    [Pre-adjustment]
Drachen Roll: Enhances pet magic attack and magic accuracy
    Puppet Roll: Enhances pet accuracy

    [Post-adjustment]
    Drachen Roll: Enhances pet accuracy
Puppet Roll: Enhances pet magic attack and magic accuracy

Would it be possible to edit the effect of Blitzer’s Roll?
Currently, if you cast Blitzer’s Roll, the amount of TP gained is reduced and if attackers use store TP it’s not really possible to get the full benefit. Could you edit this so that the effect does not affect TP gain and reduces attack delay like Haste and March?
The effect of Blitzer’s Roll is the same as Martial Arts as it reduces the attack duration, so the amount of TP gained is affected. We do not plan on changing the effect to make it similar to Haste/March as these spells have an influence on magic.

Can you make it possible to cast rolls on a single party member? It could have a 15 second recast and no Double-up possibility. If we had this, it would make it possible to use all of the hard to use pet rolls, etc. It would also be possible to put the new Gallant’s Roll on the tank only.
In regards to single target rolls, I will address this and the concept of corsair as a set.

Corsairs have the ability to support party members with their rolls similar to bards; however, while bards spend most of their time during battle supporting party members with songs, corsairs don’t spend the same amount of time on support and were made to have a surplus of time so they can attack. This is why the effect duration and recast time on rolls have been set to be longer than songs.

While it is definitely possible to look into single target effects in order to effectively use rolls, the functionality of corsair would most likely be largely changed due to the increased frequency of roll usage, so we would like to continue to look into this while carefully considering whether it is really appropriate for the corsair style that we envisioned.

The enhanced cure potency for cures received is good with waltzes too, right?
Unfortunately the effect from Healer’s Roll will not enhance the potency of waltzes.
While they are similar effects, the stats are separate and this is the roll for white mages.

Are there any plans to adjust the haste category for Spirit Surge?
Haste is split into two categories, magical and equipment. Spirit Surge currently falls into the magical category, but in order for this to be changed so it is treated neither as magical nor equipment, it’s necessary to edit the programming itself and this takes some time to do.

We weren’t able to inform you the other day at the same time as the other adjustments, but we’ve completed the work to make it possible to make Spirit Surge’s haste effect be in its own category similar to Hasso and we would like to implement this on the test server along with the Jump/Breath adjustments.

Due to this adjustment the number of attack rounds in a given time frame will increase, so we are planning to keep the effect duration of Spirit Surge at 60 seconds.

    Curse/Bane (Lv60~)
Will this Cursna Breath have any effect on Doom?
Similar to the effect of the white magic spell Cursna, it will have a chance to cure Death (though there is a chance it will miss).

    High jump
If you are going to add stats to High Jump, you should remove the shared recast timer with Soul Jump.
Soul Jump and Spirit Jump’s usage interval were set on the basis that they share recast timers.
Since we have reached the limit system wise for recast timers, it will not be possible to split any more. We have been exploring other possibilities, but a short term solution is rather difficult and we apologize that we haven’t finalized anything as of yet.

    Remove Breath
What about the order of use for status cures? Will it be possible to use multiple times? Can we choose?
In the case that you are inflicted with multiple status ailments, Remove Breath will cure only one of them. The status ailments cured will be selected based on level, but there is still room to look into priority, so please let us know your feedback.
I worry about the bolded bit because it seems like SE doesn't realise Haste Samba, Desperate Blows and Hasso are in the same JA haste category.

Have we gone back to blaming the PS2 instead of balance? What does this line even mean...

Also, whats the big threat of letting DRG have 1min 30 secs of 25% JA haste every 2 hours? DRK can pull better than that every 5 minutes.

Sounds like the devs admit the JP's were wrong about something: cor/whm being the proper play style.

Since we have reached the limit system wise for recast timers
Does this mean that from here on out there wont be any new JA's? lol...

In the dats, for ability info, there is a field called shared timer ID. At one point, I was planning on extracting this sort of information for my ability script in my dat mines, but I never really got around to it.

Basically, because of how the dats were initially formatted, I assume that this field uses 16 bits, meaning that it can only vary from 0-255. Meaning that there can only be a total of 256 different shared timers.

At a quick glance, it would seem that there is currently a shared timer up to 255, so just from a quick glance, it looks like they're all used up. There's some abilities near the end (probably blanks) that are reporting a shared ID of 900, which doesn't make sense. I'll look into it more.

    edit: Update on this:
Reading polutils documentation, this number is indeed an unsigned 16bit number, meaning 0-255. I am unsure where polutils pulls the 900 from, maybe I'll look through the source some time. The 900 corresponds with WS's, btw. I'm compiling a list of all the abilities and their #'s, will post in a few mins.

I was wondering the same thing.

But to be honest, with magical haste 2hr was nice solo/without BRDs. With JA haste you won't make the most of it with /SAM in a group. So unless it is really in a category on its own then meh.

I honestly don't see why SE can't just update their dat formats, and use 32bits or something. There's definitely space in the dats, they would just need to (gasp) modify the software so that it knows the new dat structure. Obviously, I don't fully know how their stuff works, and I could be way off, but from what I recall, SE has done this before. Or at least something similar.

You guys remember that one update that broke the armor dat viewer on polutils? Or any other update that broke polutils? That was because they changed their fucking dat formats.

Or, they could just use a ghetto fix, and share timers on abilities that you can't get at the same time. Ex: Merit abilities. You wont ever have tomahawk and mantra available to you at the same time. They could save some space this way. (again, I assume.) >.>

tl;dr they are just downright being fucking lazy
