    Nonexistent budget, very small crew, listening to the trolls on official forums, delusional, take your pick, lol. Going back to the old ways is to prolong content while offering very minor upgrades but take large amounts of time at the expense of fun. I think its pretty clear that all of SE's eggs are in the XIV basket right now and has been for quite sometime. I think Abyssea only evolved into what it did was because of how bad XIV was so SE needed to get drastic and go against their entire philosophy in terms of development. Ever since XIV stabilized and the new team was able to push the critical reforms to keep the small amount of people they do have playing it, the development of XI has taken a nose dive and seems like it will only get worse.

    apply this to Mythics and Relics...

    Emp upgraders are going to have Rift*** items generated by people doing VW for other items, other relevant items that people will farm for to obtain. No one really farms PW or ADL, though to be fair you can 2box farm majority of PW pops, and then rally troops for a quick PW kill...you dont even have that luxury with ADL (afaik, none of the tome NM's are really lowman friendly).

    I just don't understand doesn't this game have something like 200k subscribers? isn't that still like top#5 on the MMO list? alot of company's would prob kill to be in a position like that, but they wanna throw it all away? why would piss off paying customers for a gamble on 14. idk.. people wondering why we are in a recession.

    Unless something significantly changed, I wouldn't fuck with Tome NMs in Xarc with my 3. I did a PW set in a day without any difficulty, so there you go.

    Even if not, it's mindless watching TV/Homework/whatever boredom easyness to get it done. If cap per day was increased 100% then it would be even easier.

    That said, if you know you're going to need zeni and you don't go take pictures/turn them in when watching TV/homework/whatever then you're making life difficult for yourself lol.

    Even if you buy at minimum, with 3 chars, you'd still need ~70k zeni built up per PW pop...you cant tell me everyones sitting on 70k zeni. I checked for fun yesterday, I have 400...

    regardless, I just finally got around to changing my POL accounts to SE accounts, since its the only way I could stop payments on my accounts. Whenever they get their heads out of their asses, I'll consider paying again.

    But in a day you can farm 3k for every hour you're awake, so even if you're sitting on 5k/ea, that's (3000 x T) + 15000

    but like I pointed out, if you know you need Zeni, not turning it in when you aren't doing much is counterproductive

    And because I find the PW trials easy, doesn't mean they aren't dumb. I have 3 characters, play a lot when I do play and all 3 are well geared, so accomplishing things is rather easy. Some people can be playing 2-4 chars and have a more difficult time than me, some easier. Most people play 1 char and would have an incredibly more difficult time than me.

    Mine are lapsing this month as well, maybe one of the mules will keep going so he can keep trying for Ebisu items.

    Most people raging are upset at the relic trials...
    any emp owner going "wtf 60 riftdross" really needs to be slapped after going for 1500 HMP

    I would rather have 10000 killshots (normal mobs of course) with my Bravura then this shit ADL trial. At least this way I dont have to mollest people for stupid shit and can do it on my own...

    i mean I did allready 8000 of them, so 10000 is also doable!

    Waltz thing is welcomed. Reduced -na spell casting time is cool. Everything else is not something I care about.

    They've already said they aren't planning on doing that, and I think that they'd have to rework the JA cap before they could change their mind.

    DNC is already at the 12 timer limit.

    Another approach might have been to put "Enhances Waltz" on AF/Relic/Empyrean gear in the same way they did for Reward on the BST AF/Relic bodies. Add a status removal to any Waltz, maybe have one of them make Healing Waltz itself remove multiple effects.

    Or perhaps an Esuna-like Flourish. Remove multiple effects from the DNC, and in turn others in AoE range if they're under the same effects. 1-3 depending on Finishing Moves or something.

    Things that would serve to accomplish much the same thing as splitting Waltz timers, without actually needing to do so.

    We have been seeing a lot of pretty fierce comments in regards to the trials to upgrade Relic/Mythic/Empyrean weapons and I feel the need to comment on a couple of things.

    The number of items necessary
    Let me start off with an explanation and apology.

    While we did mention that the number was temporary, it seems like many of you misunderstood that and took the numbers we posted as indicators of the actual values. Instead, we should have used numbers like 1 or 9999 to make it abundantly clearer that these numbers were temporary.

    I do not want to risk confusing you all even more, so I will make this simple. The difficulty (as well as time necessary) of obtaining the items necessary to upgrade each type of gear will be, in order of increasing difficulty, Mythic > Relic > Empyrean. As such, the number of items necessary to upgrade each type of gear will not be the same between the sets of trials.

    As an adjustment to the time required for both creating and enhancing Mythic weapons, we are trying to increase the amount of zeni received for each soulplate traded, so you receive over 10 times the amount. (Currently on the test server the data has been changed so you receive 15 times as much)

    With this as a basis, we are currently looking into and testing the appropriate amount of items, as well as the content of trials up until now and the obtainment paths for the required items. Once the amount has been decided after the investigation, we will be announcing the information along with the detailed thought process behind it.

    In the meantime, we ask that you please stop focusing discussions on the idea that these values on the test server are the actual values that are to be implemented.
     
     
     
    The accuracy of the content implemented on the test server
    Regarding content implemented on the test server, we have been receiving comments stating that it is not right to implement content that has yet to be finalized.

    We understand that some of these comments may come from players who have not read our posts or the information released with the road map, but I would like to explain again, because the test server is an important aspect of future version updates, as well as our development and QA procedures.

    In general, please consider content implemented on the test server as content that is either in development, needing adjustments or in the process of being adjusted.

    As soon as content is implemented on the test server, not only do players have a chance to test out the new content, the development and QA teams also perform balance checks and bug screening. It would be possible to delay player access to the test server, but this would shorten the time that players are able to submit feedback, which may lead to unnecessary delays. Therefore, we have our current test server for the benefit of all involved, so we would appreciate if you understand the reasoning behind our current implementation strategy.

    As far as I can see, they still don't fucking get it. We aren't upset about the number only, we're upset about the fact that it's the same item. That comes from something you can't low man. That takes 17 other people.

    It could be one ADL item per relic and it'd still be awkward as fuck.

    The excuses about "well this is pending review" completely misses the point that items by nature tiers people and wastes an alliances time repeating a battle with ass for rewards for each individual person.

    Oh come on, your reward is that your LS leader gets a level 99 relic, steals the LS bank to RMT it, then quits the game.
