They don't fucking get it at all. The empyrean one is completely fine imo, the mythic one is terrible but it doesn't REQUIRE a whole group of people to make your sets. The Relic is absolutely fucked, how can you expect 17 people to waste x days of dynamis to get some minor stat upgrades for a single person? Even relics back in the day were still nearly soloable, you just needed people to help you with the attestation/fragment.
If I wasn't in the boat of someone who wants to upgrade their relic to 99, planned to do additional ones, and planned on doing a mythic...and my LS wanted me to do Dyna that basically benefitted one person for 20 days (current) or one day (lol, toked out optimism) I'd be missing out on 3.5M every day I didn't do Dyna myself.
Or at the current trial requirements, accounting for losses to ADL, 105M.
I like how they're mad about feedback.
If they didn't want feedback, then what was the point of making this test server?
We all know that, while these numbers are "temporary," they're still what came to SE's mind when implementing it. Had no test server even existed, these are probably the numbers they would have used at initial release. (See: original relic trials)
This.
And also:
Can somebody explain to them it is actually Empyrean>Mythic (just putting this lower because you have to beat a lv75 NM for 10 drops)>Relic at this point? Emp upgrade items are the easiest because VW is actually worth a fuck for people who don't want the items and it's also an event people actually do. That says alot about how shit the other trials are since Emp requires the most of these items.I do not want to risk confusing you all even more, so I will make this simple. The difficulty (as well as time necessary) of obtaining the items necessary to upgrade each type of gear will be, in order of increasing difficulty, Mythic > Relic > Empyrean. As such, the number of items necessary to upgrade each type of gear will not be the same between the sets of trials.
Suggestions have already been made by a fuckload of people, I suggest you use them. I can't be arsed to come back to unlock 99 if I can't even get my relic to 99. Remember what that means SE? Additional income from subscriptions! You should like that, being a company and all. With this as a basis, we are currently looking into and testing the appropriate amount of items, as well as the content of trials up until now and the obtainment paths for the required items.
Leave it to SE to perpetuate the stereotypical Japanese developer who believes he is 100% right and the user just "doesn't get it". And they wonder why their games are failing as a whole.
Naw they just perfected the backpedal method. Do they honestly think that if people complain it's because we don't understand their reasoning behind "adjustments"? If noone voiced their displeasure with the horrible ideas, they would implement the previously high amount of items required. Tbh it shows that, no matter how thick skulled SE are, they actually listen. Even if it takes thousands of people yelling for them to hear the voice of reason.
Japan knows best. Just look at XIV! A true masterpiece!
Our tears do not boost their stock portfolios, but imagine if they could!

http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...l=1#post271155Based on feedback received from players that participated on the test server meet-up the other day, the development team is planning some adjustments to the Legion system.
While a number of ideas are being looked into, I’d like to let you know about the battle related changes first.
*We will make some announcements about aspects other than battle in the future, so please wait a bit for those.
Adjustments to special ability AoE
Planning to reduce the effect range for AoE special abilities. Working currently to have this changed reflected in this week’s test server update.
Changes to make it possible to try again after a wipe
We will be performing two adjustments, which will create an area that will be safe from monsters as well as reducing monsters’ detection range.
*There will be no changes to link range.
These adjustments are planned to be implemented during next week’s test server update.
Please try out these changes once the test server is updated and let us know your thoughts!
Google translate of a post by the JP devs today, which, I think, reads as though if you destroy an item, you get a point for it. If you collect a certain number of points, you get to redeem if for an alternative rare item from a collection of drops (whether this is a universal system or mob specific, i.e. you have to get 5 Aliyat Chakram's to get enough points of a Toci's, or can use those Chakram points to get a Athos Tabard) remains to be seen.Hi.
Thank a lot about your opinion of the Void loot system watch, thank you.
Watch the Void loot system, rather than by Rottoin distribution date, adopted a system to receive the reward of each player individually. I have the benefit of each result is given a fair opportunity to reward the individual who had repeatedly into a rare item that only to destroy it, star it stress that is can not be passed to other players to increase it wants to hand over, that is fully aware.
Since this is also a fundamental part of the system involved in the Void loot Watch has continued careful consideration in order to take advantage of both. As a result, there is a possibility in the current scheme of loot, as a way to meet demand, we believe the introduction of the following mechanisms.
If you drop a rare item that has been already obtained •, corresponding replacement tickets (tentative name) can get instead
By collecting a certain number of exchange tickets •, rare items can be exchanged with the corresponding
※ ticket is not a common type so that each item separately, you need to collect the same type.
※ The number needed to redeem may be due to changes in the examination, currently estimated at about five or six.
• Tickets can be exchanged trade and trade
It can be passed directly to the reward items, so you lose the meaning of individual compensation, performed well balanced in terms of drop probability. This system, however, even if the per 引Kenaku Unfortunately, tickets are a little assistance from a member if you continue to participate in the future, I hope you are to pick the item.
In addition, it can become very large number of tickets and exchange for the item reward for all the foreseeable future and be considering the introduction of focusing on Item rare, especially before the introduction is to get time slightly Please note that point.
Rough translation, and until it's Engrish'd, it looks promising.
Edit: re-read it, it's mob specific. Herp.
Edit2: Or they could be shooting down someone's idea, and this is them saying "you fkn wrong, son. Doing this means no-one will Voidwatch after a while, we not want this!"
You should post the JP version (and link) so people can translate it properly.
