It makes me want to not do voidwatch atm.
2 months is 80 stones saved up + casual campaign, say once a week for 5-10k is another 20-40 stones.
That, with a potential system that doesn't suck as much, or keep spamming and hope the RNG blesses you because this time will be the time.
The cruor you make alone is worth 100k, I think. I don't consider myself particularly lucky but I know I've made something like 10 million gil off of Voidwatch in the past two months doing about 30-35 VWNMs per week, so purchasing about 20 stones per week = 500,000 gil per week, easily recuperated by selling items that can be sold. And my intent is not using Voidwatch as a way to make money at all, I'm just interested in the few rare/ex items that I still want that I don't have. Unless you're incredibly unlucky, over time, I don't think buying voiddust can possibly be a losing proposition (in terms of gil) unless you're only kililng stuff that doesn't have it's own potential rare gil drops.

I bring some news regarding the Voidwatch loot system, which I think you all will appreciate quite a bit.
The development team has been well aware of all of your frustrations when you friend hears you receive an item that they have been after for some time, but you are unable to pass it to them and have no choice but to toss it.
They have been looking into adjustments to the reward system extremely carefully to preserve the benefit of each person receiving a personal reward when participating, instead of having to lot against others. As a result, they are thinking about implementing the below type of system.
* In the event that a rare/ex item drops to you when you already possess the item, it will be possible to exchange that item for a ticket (name pending)
* Once you obtain a certain amount of these tickets, it will be possible to exchange them for a rare/ex item of your choice.
*There will be different types of tickets for different items and you will need to collect the respective ticket for the item you would like.
*The required number of tickets is still being looked into and there is a possibility of change, but currently we estimate it to be about 5~6.
* Tickets will be tradable and sellable.
The development team feels that this will not destroy the meaning of having personal rewards, and though the drop rate balance will not be changed, even if you continue to have bad luck obtaining the item you wish, by collecting the tickets from your friends you will eventually be able to obtain the item.
Since there are a lot of rewards items, meaning a large amount of tickets to be created, we will start off by looking into implementing the hard to get items first. Please understand that it will take some time before this is all implemented.

That or, VW has run its intended course and the new event(s) (Nyzul, Legion ----- Salvage) are intended to be the new timesinks.
Excellent start. But...how long will this take to implement is the burning question. It needs to happen (or at least start) as soon as possible so the player base will be somewhat appeased XD
This can also help with heavy metal plates/ rift items if they are exchangeable with these tickets.
Like Slycer said, I wouldn't expect it for months...personally I would think after Legion.
I'm going to be optimistic and hope for a partial update at the same time as the legion/neo-nyzul update.

Odd the post that was deleted about the 99 trials suddenly reappeared again, my bad hah.
My main concern is the breaking down of the ticket system. Can probably assume the various bodies will be their own ticket types, meaning instead of going 1/300 for one, it'd be more like 2/1800 for two if you don't fight that given mob specifically for the second, different body. The ability to trade tickets could help offset this, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see people asking for 10m+ for one.
It's no "Add to Loot Pool" option, but it's better than what we have now.
Depends on implementation, SE will probably make it SE, but if Arbuda Grip=Ace's=Murasamasamamaune=HMPP then it's perfectly fine and offers incentive to go even if capped on drops.
