They're removing TH from BST pets because BST pets are not only stronger and doing more damage than THF in every situation but they also get THIII(which is significantly stronger than TH4+.(Probably every level of TH beyond 3 is probably like 1% whereas the first 3 bonuses are probably way more potent.) I guess it makes sense, THF has almost no place endgame because unless they have relic or emp or amazing gear, even a BST's pet will crush their damage.
Sorry for being late to the party, but I just saw this today...
Like others have said, I love that they are doing something about the VW loot system, and I have no problems with this idea. But as Jorna brought up, I'm very surprised that they chose this route, given that (as I understood it) their whole argument for having untradeable EX drops, and no option to "add to loot pool" the duplicates of the drops, was that they didn't want people selling drops to buyers.
So instead of simply adding the "add to loot pool" option, where only people that were actually in the ally for the fight could lot on it, they make a freely tradable, salable item that people can sell to the highest bidder. And while the concept of "giving items to your friends" is nice, if you get a ticket for an item you have, and there's no way for anyone to know you got it, are you going to just give it to one of the scrubs in your LS? Or are you going to sell it in Jeuno on a mule no one knows for the multiple millions of gil they will undoubtedly be worth?
Again, I'm not complaining at all, as I think the new idea is great, but it's incredibly surprising to me, given SE's previous stance on VW loot. They seem to have completely reversed their opinion.
As part of the adjustment in the balance of the level 99 treasure hunter, is expected to change by one step the effect of the treasure hunter has the following call pet.
* Seven Star Ury
* Loyalty Farukoa
So that one phase will have a capacity of ※ pets, such as equipment, "Pets: Treasure Hunter +" If there are cumulative effects, such as.
Major premise, we believe the benefits of treasure hunters want to be higher in the following order.
1. Thief
2. Hunter
3. Thief Job Support
4. Other jobs
AKA: FUCK YOU YULY
Uh, Seriously >_>?
Of Falcor and Yuly are out DDing a THF that THF sucks.
Confused, But im sure a lot of people will be happy... BST Solo in Dynamis just because infinitely less profitable.
In case it wasn't obvious (it is, but...), those pets are Dipper Yuly and Faithful Falcorr, and "Hunter" is ranger.
Doesn't sound like they're removing TH completely, just lowering it by one?
If this lowers the amount of bsts in dynamis when I go in to farm coins for aegis then I'm all for it lol.
Might have been a google translation fuckup, and they're changing it to TH1, based on their assessment of where they want TH to come from. If they dropped FUCKYOUYULY to TH2, then 3 (/thf) would = 4 (other jobs)
the post is here btw

More reasons not to reactivate my account! :D
Because they're nerfing TH on bst pets because its obviously a problem thats gotten outta control? lol
How about instead they make higher levels of TH worth a piss.
That's debatable. On one hand the influx of currency has lowered it's price than what it was a year ago, on the other hand the traffic in Dynamis increased exponentially. In either case, the increase in Relic assembly is significant enough to warrant SE's nerf bat. In other words Balance = Slower Progress.
It wont affect currency that much if it is dropped to TH1 on pets. Currency seems to run off of the "ram skin" theory: No TH = horrible drop rates, TH1 = decent drop rates, TH2+ = small increase in # of drops. As long as pets still retain a treasure hunter trait and SE doesn't adjust the currency drop rates, the only thing this will affect is relic/-1 and forgotten items in dynamis then.
Heaven forbid they address the bst dynamis issue by making ws and magic procs equal to JA. (Or if it's a THF issue, make higher levels of TH more significant)
Oh wait, that would actually make everyone happy.
There's actually still a pretty noticeable different in drops between TH3 and TH2. I had a BST friend of mine parse a couple dozen dynamis runs and he came out around 2.4 coins/mob. (so TH3) I go DNC/THF with TH2 and come out right around 2 coins/mob.
Subtract off the assured 1 from procing and you're looking at TH3 being 40% stronger than TH2.
So it's not fair to you unless bst has a TH advantage over everyone except thf main? Even if they fixed magic procs, those jobs would still need to go /thf to even get TH2, while bst currently gets TH3 for free.
I would guess that they're lowering bst pets to TH1 like blu has, and if that's the case, it's perfectly reasonable to me.
reasonable i suppose. at least its there instead of being completely gone.
seems like natively it'll be TH1, but there'll be pet: TH+ eq, or something
also, lol..
2nd word in the post isguess what it reads.Code:バランス
This isn't really going to make Dynamis any less crowded. A couple people might switch from BST to THF or DNC/THF, but the total number of people will stay pretty similar. Can other jobs hold less monsters? Yeah (although DNC can certainly hold a good many too if they want to), but if you really wanted to you could have just taken their monsters if they were hoarding too many.
What Julian suggested actually would help, since it'll make people spread out more. Changing the TEs in some of the city zones might help a bit as well.
SE is back in full nerf mode I see and BST can't even catch a break. It already cost enough to fucking deploy Falcorr/Yuly and now apparently that's too powerful and requires a nerf down to TH1? lol
Beastmaster is fucking already relegated to solo events because the Voidwatch procs are a joke (Raptor NQ derrrrp) and pets get raped by AOEs meaning Legion will be yet another event BST is barred from. Instead of improving THF - a job already desired over BST in every group event - you decide to nerf the pets instead of making the needed improvements. Congratulations, you really must want this job class driven back into obscurity.
