I just did that assault as part of my repeats, easy peasy shit. You can just kill all the damn crawlers these days.

I guess this is a minor complaint, but if they're going to bother adjusting this, why is it so hard to get it right? Why would anyone want plague/disease, or really anything removed before doom? Or is it tiered that way for barance? It should really be:

1. Curse/Bane/Doom
2. Paralysis
3. Disease/Plague
4. Poison
5. Blindness

That order is incorrect. That official website lists Curse/Bane/Doom before Disease/Plague.

He's gotta be talking Cephalopods because the Qiqirn escort is pretty easy and the Orobons can actually help you speed up the process.

If SE is going to make the event mostly based on luck than they need to make it so you get assault tags every game day, instead of earth day. I don't have a problem with having an event be difficult, but when you can't repeat it enough to learn good methods quickly it becomes tiresome, because it seems bad luck abounds.

I failed http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Op...n:_Black_Pearl partially cuz of my stupidity and wiki's misleading information ("After several waves, you will see a special NPC message. ("What is this foul creature!? Guards, to my side immediately!")"), I thought its a message you could see at any distance. So I was way out cleaving mobs, and all of a sudden FAIL.

The apkallu assault was so much worse than the qiqirn assault. Turning the last corner to find one of your party members sitting there in front of your apkallu, or having someone chase an apkallu right past your's, or getting stuck on some sort of minor texture glitch and being unable to follow closely enough was 90% of that assault.

Directions? Imperial Code just has you kicking 3 nins ass and picking up the device they stole at the end.
