What I mean is, refresh legs means refresh in yet another slot I did not know about. Better/worse yet, in a slot that I could swap out and not bitch about. Thusly, I could probably get 6 per tic refresh with avatars out... which is just getting silly.

Well, there are already refresh legs in the game in the form of stearc subligar. I'd rather wear actual pants than a subligar though.

Cool beans. These must be the new pieces for the next VW tiers. Though the red armor piece in there is supposedly the model for one of the rare /ex items from Legion as it matches that pic Camate posted of legion rewards.

It's probably VW stuff. That last body has those two blue crystal chevron things, there's an icon for a crystally wand and sword, and we're getting a crystal dragon. Crystal everything. I like it though. Vest and shirt with no jacket. It's very gentleman adventurer. Hope I get to fight a mummy aboard a train in it using my fisticuffs.

I think the red armor may be one of the big drops from Legion. There is a pic where Camate is talking about legion drops and there is a picture of that armor, along with him spelling the beans on the stats...that we already know from dat. mining. Then those new armor sets teased before may be the other Legion items and these other ones are the next Athos / Ogier / Rubeus ... or not. I love speculation though :D

I would love to dig around and find out if the "Provinence" zone was included in the test server updates if anyone could/would upload it somewhere. I'm not sure that it would be, but since the area listing and mob lists exist for it it's possible.

I remember awhile ago someone used EWH to walk around Walk of Echoes before it was released. I assume the same is possible with this new zone, but I have no idea how that would be done.

EWH doesn't work for me, but I tried ffxitool. I have no idea how this program is actually working, but assuming it's pulling up the right dats for every zone, then:

edit: Actually, I don't even think I can say any of this with any level of confidence at all. These jp programs are terrible.
EWH seems to have a modifiable zone list, which would be good for testing a bunch of different dats at once, but it doesn't work for me. Their area list isn't in the "area list" order, either.
ffxitool seems to have everything hardcoded, or it's reading that data/info from somewhere. I don't know when this program was last updated, but if it was forever ago, then the fact that it has abyssea zones and stuff showing up where they should be showing would indicate that its methods work. If this is correct, then unknown 5 is just a debug zone, and unknown 8/provenance has a placeholder dat which the program isn't reading as an area map thing w/e you want to call it.
edit2: this file I called "placeholder" is an exact copy of the one in my regular ffxi dats, so it hasn't been updated, so it's never been there, or ffxitool has the incorrect dat location for that zone. fuck if I know.
