Damage is tremendously reduced in Ballista to support balance between DDs, the more damage potential your hits/WS have, the more scaled the damage becomes. So weapon skills that already do like 400-600ish continue to do that much, but WS that exceed 1-1.5k typically get nerfed to do 700-900. Also the second hit of Fury probably didn't trigger since the taru drg died on the first hit.

Do we really need to "stay tuned" for the date for the version update? The schedule was "late March," they always do the update on a Monday (I think a couple have been on Tuesday, but recently it's been Monday), and there's only one Monday left in March...

Nope, #1 still continues to annoy me regularly, and #2 = synergy as a whole.
Hopefully they also put in a countdown, since it can take 3-4 hours from the time they begin preparing to the time the fight actually happens. It's like their waiting on half the army to mule. Actually most of the minor gripes I had back then are still there, and that was 5 fucking years ago. Shit almost half the major grips are still there, with 7 of the 13 i still seeing having been addressed on the official forums of 'fuck you we don't care'.

Requires Smooth Velvet, which requires a really really fucking useless 40kGP KI to synth . Since most people dont have that KI, the only way to get the smooth velvet is from the AH, since its used for blu AF upgrades....at 140k a pop. However if you do have the KI, it only costs about 10k to synth. On top of that though, you need the Garish Slacks, which costs about 15k to make, and a 100 CC will likely HQ them pretty easily (unless they have the ring, or another crafting mule). And since you need 2.4...aka 3, even if you synth your own shit and own the 40kGP ki, you're still looking at 75k gil for 5920GP, 12.66 gil/point

Not available via NPC, which means you have to craft them all. Costs about 1500g to make, with 99/131GP per turn in, you'll wind up synthing about 17 factoring HQ, for 2080GP. 17 synths at 1500gil for 2080GP is 12.26 gil/point
Since I started rebuilding my cooks GP, yes, the GP/day sometimes is pretty shitty, but its also relatively cheap. To the best of my recollection, I have yet to see a cooking item that made me go "wow thats a fucking waste of gil", nor have I seen any items that are almost impossible to make.
Cooking sucks balls because of the amount of work to get the ingredients vs the amount of points you get. 2 fucking hours of running around to get the ingredients from vendors should not net 1.2k points.
