    Thank the gods for the SMN weakness procs.

    Also, does this mean pet jobs will be even more useful in Voidwatch because once you get the hint, you know exactly what you have to use to proc. With a little strategy, you can either use the ability at the right times to keep a mob proc -locked or save it for a "OMG we need a proc" moment.

    1 proc out of 200 isnt going to make thief a necessary inclusion in VW...if TH let you go past the hard cap, it would make people go "hey we could use a thief".

    Yeah, that would make people birng THF's imo. I still think they should have given THF's more stealing tactics or something, like stealing special items to weaken the bosses with certain effects like DEF down (that stacks with other sources) and ATK down/plague or something cool. Mixing/combining the items you steal and throwing them, how cool.

    That would probably require steal to actually land though. Lord knows as certainly could not have that.

    I like how the dev post uses Japanese shorthand for weaknesses (! !!! and !!!!!).

    They changed Auto WS trigger to just Armor Shatterer because it's ranged? I don't think they seem to understand how big VW mob AoE ranges are compared to the shitty range of a sharpshot's AI. I'd much much much rather it be a Valoredge WS. At least Valor's defense isn't made of good intentions and unicorn whispers.

    Oh and as a Sch. Let me say THANK CHRIST ABOVE AND SATAN BELOW that Sch JA trigger isn't Modus anymore. In all of my life I've had more condoms break on me than I've had Moduses land on VW mobs, and I don't like the numbers for either of those statistics.

    Pretty much what I was going to say.

    Oh no, dont mind my useless job sitting back waiting 1min on cooldown because I can't fit all 30 some spell procs in a single set. Should be reduced to two from each category (or 1 like modern Abyssea) so I can at least get the majority in while still having room for a couple offensive spells.

    At least they told us the changes up front so I can adjust my weakness chart come the update.

    They should be reduced to 1 per element, and be procs that are realistically landable on all NMs. Cold wave for example, I've never managed to land even once on rex or ig-alima with macc build + macc/blue skill merits + hq staff + ascetics. It's just stupid.

    Playing it wrong then. I do agree we have a wide list of procs though, should consolidate it like they did with Abyssea ones.

    i'm glad for these changes.. they could probably streamline BLU and BLM more but its not quite as bad as the pets and BLU had been streamlined once no? or was that abyssea? For SMN its not hard to hit but rather that certain avatars may have like 5 procs to try on a 45s-1min timer... tedious.

    Jugs and wyvern were pretty bad too. Many of the jug procs were like obscure BST pets, and wyverns choice of element is hard to control for certain elements.. glad that's done away with.

    I'm very curious how they plan to do this with RDM. Outside of the merit spells, the only mob-targetting unique spell/ability RDM possesses is Gravity II. Good luck with that. Maybe they plan to make enspell2 added effects procs- which would likely be a coding nightmare and, even worse, give encouragement to all the wrong people, heh.

    Not like your average shout group was interested in RDMs to begin with, so maybe it's moot.

    or they could give the mobs a despoil pool based on their families loot (obviously youre not gonna despoil a toci's off pil)...but say you give qilin mant hair/hide/fang, pil some various ingots or ores (they dont really have any loot), with 3 associated debuff effects (and make it so it cant miss)...all of a sudden despoil is a valid proc (2/202!)

    It doesn't though, that's what temp items are for.

    BLU had their spell-list cut in half for abyssea, to only having one per element. I've only done VW a few times, but last time I went as BLU, leader had 2 of us and we each set half of the spells. There is like 4 possible spells per element, so if you only have a single blu, there is still the minute cooldown to swap out the spell if you don't have it.

    Adjustments for other job abilities
    Replace Bounty Shot with Shadowbind
    So while making others easier to trigger, RNG gets theirs replaced with a 5-minute ability? This doesn't make any sense.

    Bounty shot only has a low chance to proc if TH is already on, and this can be problematic.
