I'm not saying you are incapable of reading what other people post. I'm not saying you're reiterating the point you made to which a concise and coherent response was given. I'm just saying, Arus is right.

Also, this isn't 2004. There's no such thing as main or secondary job priorities. If you don't "specialize" your jobs with appropriate gear sets to make that job work, why level the job to begin with?

Not really. If your jobs empyrean WS is better than the merited one, you generally don't take it unless you're using a relic/mythic. If my 'main' dd jobs are mnk, war and nin, all with emps, does that mean I should take shijin spiral, upheaval, and blade shun? Probably not.

    cos it looks cool!

also because it doesn't take effort to get all jobs to 99 anyway.

The problem is there are certain must have WSs if you have multiple DD jobs, which then limits your other choices. If you have Ukon you still need to have Upheaval. If you don't have Ukon but play WAR at all, you need to have Upheaval. Same can be said of DRK and Resolution or SAM and Shoha. The 3 WS limit is crippled by job defining WSs.

I never merited upheaval, that's not really a true statement. Ukko's outperfroms Upheaval in every situations sans MS which even a Jingang Claymore MS Reso beats an Ukon MS Upheaval.

Why would you need upheavel for ukon, I thought resolution was better for mighty strikes? Or is that only if you have ragnarok?

But yeah that was my point. If I want to play sam or drk, but have no room for reso/shoha, it's kinda pointless. It also encourages people just to take the same strong WS regardless of 'main' jobs, and ignore the situational ones like last stand/requiescat/etc.

No combat/magic/WS caps: people spend more time getting merits, more time gearing and playing different jobs, and potentially have more fun playing the jobs they have because they can pickup WS that aren't as important as shoha/reso/etc. Like staff WS for your smn, archery for sam, and so on.

SE just shoots the playerbase and themselves in the foot with the current caps.

    My math says otherwise...

I have Upheaval winning by 17% with 99Ukon and 8% with 90Ukon. (vs jingang) WS damage is higher with Jingang but overall DPS is lower.

Edit: I forgot to change Jingang ODD to 0 and buffed Ukon to 50% since it would be a zerg.

Forgot to add ODD, which pushes Ukon ahead depending on the level DPS wise.

I will say though, that when you start getting to the 900-1300 range of DPS, it's really a wash because you aren't going to even come close to that in reality lol.

    Greetings,

I have some feedback to share in regards to some of the suggestions in this thread for changing the functionality of Omphalos bullet: Nothing is being done about the bullet.

We thank you and value your opinions.

While we understand that players are concerned about accidentally misfiring this item, unfortunately it is not possible to make so that it cannot be fired, such as certain throwing weapons that cannot be used, as it would also render it impossible to use Quick Draw with it.

The main reason why the Patriarch Protector’s arrow and Iron Musketeer's bolt was converted to the Combat Caster’s quiver/Iron Musketeer's quiver, which could be used to dispense ammo once every 168 hours, was to improve the situation where conquest points could not be spent on other items due to the need to replenish ammunition. As you may recall, it was quite difficult to earn conquest points at the time we introduced these quivers.

We understand that obtaining an Omphalos bullet is certainly not easy, but the high stats were set based on that factor and our stance is for players to take caution when changing out ammo, so we do not have plans of changing this.

And something I did out of boredom to see where we stand on the roadmap so far, although it's not entirely fair since they're adding a lot of small shit (especially on the current test server update) that don't fall under any noted category on it, but are welcome changes none the less. More or less they've been roughly on time, give or take a month.

    Spoilered for size.

lol i need to start doing /fume

    Greetings,

First off let me start by apologizing that this information was not conveyed during our time at VanaFest. I can assure you that we did not intentionally leave this out.

To give some insight as to why this slipped through the cracks, this was mentioned briefly before the start of the quiz when Bayohne and I were in our booth preparing for the stream and we didn’t catch that it was said due to it's spontaneity. Unfortunately we did not have any prior knowledge that this would be announced and we wish we could have given you this information right away.

With that said, these are a few of the “behind-the-scenes” secrets that were revealed on stage:
Use of "/fume" emote on Voidwatch monsters to shuffle weaknesses
The great katana "Murasamemaru" has a hidden effect that turns all weapon skills into non-elemental damage when used.
Using Camouflage after activating Decoy Shot will remove the enmity cap on Decoy Shot.

Sorry again for the delay in getting the above information out to you all.

I'm assuming it means that it will allow for a full enmity transfer of shots while both are active.

maybe theres a cap on the amount of enmity that can be transferred by it? any RNG know?

@Kaisha> they seem to be on schedule. While they didn't specify for the 2012 one, the 2nd roadmap for 2011 was entirely based on test server schedule.. so if this is true then they're actually ahead of schedule pretty much. They still have another 20 days to bring new 2hrs and enfeebling changes to test server for it to be 'on-time' for the test server at least.

that said, roadmap is just a roadmap, considering Einherjar expansion came a lot earlier, there could be others that do the same or come a little later.

To be fair, I wouldn't expect that adding a single battle that is mostly just a slightly redone version of an old one to einherjar would take a lot of time, it didn't really have to be its own thing on the roadmap.

@Kaisha's marked-up road map; I'd put a big X through Limbus re-entry time adjustments (I'm sure they "considered" it and then decided against it). Also, I think they're actually testing enfeebling resistances by making the changes to Requiem first on the test server (which just happened with the last test update). Requiem won't really break any fights, so it makes sense that they'd test with that first, then go after the bigger/more important ones like slow, paralyze, etc.

Oh so the Gkatana actually has a use (albeit a limited but powerful one)? Guess Samurai is still Squeenix's forever-girl. Never should've doubted it.

ogawd lawl. To be fair it really didn't make any sense. At 3600 per Odin and 1920 per T3, it really only takes T3>Odin>T3>Odin to stay afloat with ichor as long as you had a modest pool of ichor prior.
