Summerfest used to be cool, now it's just retarded.
Summerfest used to be cool, now it's just retarded.
I enjoy the Summerfest music, it just brings me back to when I started playing and it's nice change up from the norm...much like the Christmas music in Jeuno.
I still question why Jeuno gets the xmas music, and zero decor, while the home nations get all the decor, but no music.
Was there ever a lore reasoning for Jeuno's lack of festivities?
Are they that way? I always figured festivity props were just untargetable NPCs and subject to the same 50-model limit as everything else.
I love Summerfest also. The music and fireworks make me happy. (Plus you can port your mules around to the different cities to work up fame for Gobbiebag quests!)
Pretty much. While I would love to summon all of the things (I want a pony and a birdy and a dragon and another pony and a kitty and an eldritch abomination and a...), that won't actually make Summoner more viable. If I can only use the new summon once every two hours, it seems useless. (Especially since you will never see it over Alexander.) If I can keep it out all the time, it will still be limited by 45 second blood pact timers. I want the real issues deal with before applying any glitz.
There are plenty of outdoor zones where Bahamut would clip. For example, the trees in the Ronfaures, Jugner Forest, The Sanctuary of Zi'Tah, Yuhtunga Jungle, and Yhoator Jungle. Also, areas with caves, gates, or tight passes like Misareaux Coast, North Gustaberg (near the water fall), Buburimu Peninsula, Valkurm Dunes, Qufim, Ro'Maeve, Batallia Downs (S), Rolanberry Fields (S), Sauromugue Champaign (S), Yuhtunga Jungle, and Yhoator Jungle. Plus it would be kind of sucky to not be able to summon him everywhere.
Yeah, this problem could be fix by shrinking his model, but he would look kind of sad like that. (Think of how tiny his head is.)
Just make him lay on all fours then rather than hovering with them massive-ass wings.
That or make everyone zone out for a one minute cutscene in space, zone back, see a huge explosion with a 30 yalm radius, and then realize it hit nothing as the mob depopped while your alliance was stuck in the CS.
I think SE is affraid at abolishing the BP recast timer cap. Their thought prolly is: hatefree dmg + no restriction = catastroph, while in the real world its:
+ hatefree dmg noone cares about because hate is messed up anyway
+ no restriction on a job that barely can keep up dealign dmg, even if BP recast times were set to 0.
= failed job
I agree that an army of SMN without BP restrictions can be scary. Then again an Army of BSTs with called pets is just as scary. So in the end it doesnt fuckign matter.
I would like to see 6 new celestial Avatars with SoA tough that are a bit different compared to the existing ones!
Like Siren with BRD songs and so on. But thats askign too much
They could just start it out by reducing the BP timer to see if the world would explode. Give SMN a job trait at 76 that reduces the BP timer by 5 seconds, then improve it at 86 and 96 to drop the base timer down to 45 seconds and the time with gear to 30 seconds. If flames don't consume everything, then try the lower cap with gear as 20 seconds.
Give Smn a JA mode that knocks 15 seconds off BP timers but sheds all hate avatar builds directly to the smn so their pets can't tank. Bam. Smn are now Blms with sexy bird ladies.
Or let the DD Smns have their ultimate dream and let them hyoi gattai/oversoul their avatars into their weapons/bodies like it's goddamned Shaman King in here. I'd play that job all day.
They said they were going to try to implement a "faster BPs for MP". I could see it working much in the same way Avatar's Favor works, only in reverse.
As for new avatars... I wouldn't hold your breath. I always thought it would be kinda neat to have those combined elementals but that never happened. I can't think of any job that would get 48 new spells in one sitting, so I doubt they would give us six new avatars. Three dual element ones wouldn't be too insane though. Quezacotl or Typhon could be wind thunder. Remora or Syldra could be water ice. Maduin or Kujata could be earth fire.
Thing is, the BP recast timer cap is subject to the same caps as haste: 25% from gear. So in SE's mind, "nothings wrong here, move it along folks". The problem is that haste has multiple soft caps, of which the BP timer can not be further reduced (magic, JA)...magic haste doesnt work on recast timers, and theres no JA haste that speeds up BP timer.
IF SE wanted to maintain some sort of cap, it would be nice if they modeled it akin to fast cast's cap, seeing as how thinking of it like melee haste doesnt work since they can circumvent the soft 25% cap, and smn cant. Comparing it to fast cast, with its 40% cap, would give a potential reduction of 24 seconds. The most I see atm is -27 in gear. But, what really fucking baffles me is SE went ahead and adjusted the BP delay on the AF2+2 gear, when it already practically took you to cap. Do they not understand their own games logic and restrictions?
Job would be more interesting/versatile if all the avatars had their own BP recast timer, but nope......
Spoiler: show
Doesn't really say a whole lot that most people didn't already suspect would be the case.Originally Posted by Okipuit
