Imagine how annoying future BST NMs will be with this 2 hour. I'm hoping they'll pull a Spirit Surge and never give it to any monsters.

Youve been a ginormous douchebag the past couple of weeks. SEs garbage that they have put put (NNI/Limbus/Neo-Ein...which is just one fight) and want to put out (neo-Salv) looks lacking and under thought (were keeping salv pathos but they will be randomly removed now) but since your "bleeding hearts" comment, youve just been a prick for the sake of spewing utter fucking garbage.
they DO have a point there. What good is feedback when all it is is "no it sux"? Whos going to take that seriously? I wouldnt. "no it sux, *insert more reasonable solution*" tends to be listened to.
Flame Geodes are so expensive!
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...774#post351774Greetings,
As mentioned, the price of Flame Geodes is comparatively quite high due to its popularity for creating items such as Flame Gems/Pyrosoul Rings and completing Magian Trials.
Looking at weather frequency versus cost, dark and light weather is also rare, yet the price of these geodes are not very expensive. Also, there isn't a difference between the rate of obtaining Snow and Flame geodes that would cause a difference of 80x the cost.
With that said, increasing the drop rate for these would only be for convenience purposes. If you have any specific examples as to how Flame Geodes drop rates are not balanced versus other elements, please let us know and we can submit them for consideration.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...797#post351797Howdy,
Sorry I would like to correct what was posted slightly (edited previous post, was my error!). It is not that case that light and dark weather are rarer than fire weather, but it is the case that they are rare weather occurrences as well, yet the prices for those respective geodes are not expensive like that of Flame Geodes.
Also, as noted in the thread already, geodes also drop on the respective elemental day and the chance for them to drop on each day is balanced.
With that said, please continue to give your feedback and we will be sure to pass it on. Sorry for the mix up!
"Meeble Burrows" Dungeon Crawl
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...694#post351694Good evening!
Seems you guys have already found out about the mysterious meebles' requirements for a successful expedition. I just wanted to confirm that your completed goals are indeed registered upon exiting the burrow using the temporary item currently named "." with the whistle icon.
Goals completed will be flagged within the dungeon but they will not count unless you exit using the temporary item. Should you exit the burrow utilizing any other method than this temporary item (i.e. run out of time, warp, teleport, etc.), it will not count as a successful expedition and this result is intended.
Nyzul Isle's 100% and the rotation of Arrapago/Xarcabard/Xarcabard[S]'s high dark weather percent are clearly as rare as the competing fire weather.
That's cute. You are trying to make a point.
Except we have been screaming at them for over 8 years now, trying to get them to fix the ACTUAL problems with this game. Yes, we've had quite a few Cheese Sandwich people, but do you honestly believe every person on that forum is a blithering idiot? I've seen numerous suggestions, demands, pleads to fix some very basic design issues with this game, both English AND Japanese, and they ignore them. This isn't some translation error. These are bad designers. Anyone who has been playing this game as long as we have knows how blitheringly stupid these decisions are. Focusing on stupid issues like sheathing weapons ignores the PAGES and PAGES of ACTUAL SUGGESTIONS that get ignored on a daily basis.
I get the feeling it's not that they are randomly picking the stupid issues to shoot down these days. I believe it is a purposeful endeavor to pick the ones that will never be implemented, so they can point and shout "We are listening, we just can't do the insanity you ask", knowing damn well that they are casting a blind eye to the actual issues that for some reason they don't feel like addressing.
People have been explaining why things suck for years. For years it was ignored. Now it's more effective to simply shorten the statement.
Yeah, FFXIAH has a fancy chart tracking the frequency of weather. http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/32...e-so-expensive Maybe SE should glance at this once-in-awhile.
Here's my theory on why they're playing dumb regarding fire geodes.....
Wait for it....
Spoiler: show
^ Smart money's on this one.
I thought all the expansions where 30$ (Pre-Tax)
the pathos reads worse then it proll is. i think the pathos gets liftes for the whole pt that killed the mob. at least thats what i think they will do, otherwise it would be a complete spaghetti code mess for them.
That sounds like a step in the right direction but at the same time a huge FU to any possible strategy involved in unlocking. How about taking ideas from past games here?
In FF8 all your abilities, spells, commands, etc. are locked once you enter Ultimecia's castle but after each boss you beat a menu pops up and you select what to unlock.
Instead of randomly unlocking a random thing from one of your pt members how about a random ??? popping after you kill a mob? Everyone in pt can target it and unlock whatever they prefer one thing at a time.
Seeing as loot isn't shared by zone but instead is party only, there is a chance that you can have your mages or whoever you don't want unlocked first stay out of party so that you can artificially choose who to unlock. Of course we know nothing about how extra numbers in party affects the "drop rate" of the pathos unlock, so this is obviously just speculation.
