They could always make Yonin and Innin require you to Dual Wield to activate.

I think cureskin is a little too powerful to give when subbed
Convert for SCH is just the icing on the cake. /RDM is just all what SCH lacks, packed in one nice subjob. Fast Cast, MAB, MDB (this is more of a bonus), Haste, all the enfeebles besides the sleeps and Break, Phalanx, the bar- spells... If Stun didn't exist, there would be no reason at all to use any other sub.
Have you played the game recently? The jobs that care about 1h dps (blu thf dnc) already get DW3 or better natively, and use /war as a dps sub in groups where innin would be relevant. Yonin/innin bonuses/penalties also constantly decay, you wouldn't get a straight +30% crit rate from behind out of it.
it still would average out to be around 20% crit hit rate at all times.
But iv only been back for around a month and have zero clue about most changes and cant say if +20% is worth the lose of sam.
It could piss off people who dislike bst tho. throw on another 20% crit hit ~_~ lol
First off, with how easy it is the cap enimity, you would have a very difficult time staying behind the mob for a decent % of the fight. After a few WS, the mob is going to be constantly turning to everyone, including the innin users.
Secondly, if innin/yonin were to be unlocked as a SJ, I imagine they would make them DW exclusive. /nin should be to 1h what /sam is to 2h. Right now /war is the defacto dps subjob for DW jobs minus bst.
And last, bst would still use /dnc in most situations (especially dynamis which is where most people complain about bst). And in the situations you'd use bst/nin, a crit rate bonus on auto-attacks isn't a crazy big deal anyway, ruinator doesn't crit.
90% of what makes RDM unique are spells/traits/JA pre 49 which is why it makes such a nice sub. 99RDM feels a lot like 75RDM with 75BLM nukes and that's basically it.
Wait... Faust was seen as a hard solo for RDM at 75? Not supposed to be sarcastic, genuinely surprised. I thought it was seen as an easy bread and butter type solo for RDM.
Doesnt Hasso lose str and something else when subbed?
Loses STR since it's considering the SAM (that is, subjob) level and the Zanshin->DA conversion.
Given that NIN's kinda falling behind even with Innin up at the moment, I don't see the point of gimping them further. Though then again, I guess the jobs Innin would be most attractive to are jobs that could actually use the boost (DNC, THF, etc).
Faust was one of the more gear-dependent solos, which basically just meant that if you had better gear you had less chance of getting randomly flattened. I mean, a lot of Bind/Grav-based solos were like that but Faust tore you up faster than most if it got close for too long. Other than that there was nothing special about it as long as you kept your nerve and timed spells correctly between Typhoons when shadows were down.
Shit, I got nostalgic for RDM soloing.![]()
Yeah, I get you.
I really don't care about namis lol. I may be a BST but I hate namis. Its just to damn boring to me
Then for that to really work as a metaphor, Innin/Yonin would need to get tiers as you go up in level and /NIN would just get stuck with the base tier.
Which would actually be a pretty good idea!
I often wish I could bring myself to get more into Dynamis farming because I actually like solo farming in general, but I have a hard time with how it makes me feel like I have to draw the shades for two hours when I do it. Devoting that solid a block of your evening to just farming is such a turn-off and after missing a ton of days by either just not being able to commit the time or, more often, wanting to do something else if I have that unbroken block of time, I just stopped going.I really don't care about namis lol. I may be a BST but I hate namis. Its just to rank boring to me
