It's so... weird to see a SE rep use "Epic sauce" in one of their statements.

And I doubt this alone is enough to fix PUP. This should have been how it worked from the beginning with the attachment a way to enhance a particular style (+ATT, +RATT, +Cure Potency, +MAB, +DEF, etc). Now we just have to wait for the PUPs to complain that their puppets are now spamming Diaga and Curaga. Besides the Cirque AF set, the automoton's actions have pretty much made me never want to play the job -- and I typically love pet classes. Well, at least until recently.

I sort of like the WoE changes. I honestly didn't expect them to go BACK on their own idea of making it a closed off area. I voted for a closed zone based on the current reward system and many others did too, so it's a bit surprising (though I don't have a count).

Given the changes in rewards system I still think it's odd to require a full clear to get any rewards. There's very little hope of random ppl being coordinated enough to clear and most of all start at roughly the same time (while adding even more fluxes). People will be spread across all the fluxes at different times. Now you're better off getting a few friends to help clear than it is to solo, after the change you'll HAVE to. That's the part I don't like.

If coin "droprate" is increased but lottable spoils abolished... wtf? I guess they mean "droprate" as in chance to get them from chests.

I like, I've been waiting for the update notes to decide if I want to do a few WoE weapons in the future.

I don't know that it's even "good" for what people thought it did. Not only does it undetectably improve your AI (from observations before the post), but from the wording it sounds like you're penalized for it.

If WOE changes lure enough people in that randoms become able to beat chambers well enough, then it's brilliant news; but if you go along and no one else is there, then it sucks massively. Far better than what I thought they'd do though.

I really like the WoE changes. My thinking is that rewards will happen at the end of the period regardless of the outcome like CB. That would allow soloers still take part. The auto RR is full of win as well.

What I like is that people can't leech coins and items anymore under the new system. You have to help out with the battle to even get a chance to get items. This should help with the ninja lotting issues with the way WoE is now.

If you time out, you're kicked back to the lobby immediately, and they didn't say that was changed.

Where do you get this bolded part from? I thought it was agreed that previously the 1-5 chests were pretty random and order didn't make a difference on treasures.

Secondly from SE dev notes:

The system providing exclusive rewards to only the highest-rated participants will be changed to one in which all characters rated above a certain level will qualify for extra spoils.

If you fail to clear the area will you receive any reward at all? Will it be like campaign union where even though time runs out you will still get a treasure chest after you have been evaluated?
There will be no reward if you fail to clear the area.

For PLD, I think SE should just simply create a trait that lowers the standard VE loss per second by 15-20%, however this could cause balance issues. I do think that what was said earlier about SE really having these adjustments with HNM's in mind to be the direction they are going.

Never had a problem really to clear Flux #2 with randoms. Using a party of 5 pet people on #5 was pretty nice tho if you wanted to advance someones progress in your LS specifically. Got a WoE Axe from 5 to 26 coins in one run being lucky. The lack of a final chest might hurt that, since now ppl will be stuck with a richer variety of coins in their personal chests most likely.

My thought process is even though you need to clear now for any treasure, adding another 5 levels to players should make them even easier to clear.
