    Yah Adamantoise caught me by surprise too... I Just really hope they don't make it useless in fear of making it too powerful.

    Or just change some of the existing spells that are in the spell data that cannot be used by players. (And also don't have jobs or spells listed meaning that they do not intend to give them to us before the 99 cap.) Here is a list from a cursory glance.

    Dia IV, Dia V, Banish V, Diaga III, Diaga IV, Diaga V, Banishga IV, Banishga V, Poison III, Poison IV, Poison V, Poisonga III, Poisonga IV, Poisonga V, Virus, Curse, Tractor II, Moogle Rhapsody, Jester's Operetta, Protected Aria, tons of blue magic.

    How about something that replaces pacts we've been using ever since level 70?
    At least Carby gets something useful.

    Stunga will be useless for proper stunning just due to the cooldown time of Ability -> Avatar prepares -> Avatar uses.

    One adjustment I'd really like for SMN is to just target something, then choose from a JA list exactly which BP you wanted to initiate on it. Think of it like old-school SMN NMs that just pop an avatar out of thin-air to blow you up when they 2hr.

    I agree so hard, would it have been too much to ask for a BP That raises Critical hit Rate or something?

    if this "Stunga" has the same 3-4 Second "Readying" timer as all other Bloodpacts, Say hello to the most worthless BP of all time. Its as if SE doesn't realize why people use stun >_> hint, a 3second charge timer defeats the purpose!

    Maybe we'll get lucky though?

    Yeah, they've been adding a bunch of useless pacts just to give us something. Stunga beats them all though.
    Even if it's instant what's the point in AoE? Not to mention I need Ramuh out and meleeing as well.
    I keep waiting for an epic update where SMN gets new physical BPs but at this rate I don't think it's gonna happen.
    Now, let's think two useless Ward abilities they could give Fenrir and Diabolos when the cap goes to 99!
    Oh I know, Diabolos is getting Cacodemonia for sure.

    Only instance I can see an instant-use Stunga would be Arch DL when he splits forms, and that's about it.


    I really do not know why we don't have instant-access to Ward pacts (hell, give us an emnity penalty directly for using them via that if SE is so obsessed with 'balance'), or why they haven't split Ward into two groups of pacts based on their offense/defense nature. 90% of the pacts go to waste because there's always something more immediate to use mid-battle.


    It reminds me of the automaton AI problem where the pet has all these spells, but they're stuck on the same recast timer so you're fighting to ensure it casts only what you want since it's a hell of a wait until the next spell it casts.

    Man, I want to know if we're going to be able to take a 2nd craft to 100. Have I missed anything recently where they addressed this?

    Based on everyone’s feedback, we will be making the below adjustments during the upcoming version update.

    Readily Rearm* Lv95
    Converts damage received into attack power and magic attack power.

    Absorb-ATB* (absorb attributes) DRK Lv91
    Absorbs an enemy’s beneficial status effects.

    Additional magic that can be learned:

    Blizzard III DRK Lv92
    Break DRK Lv95

    We tested it out…
    Readily Rearm*
     →After taking approximately half of your current HP in damage, your damage output increase by over 20%!
      (This is also reflected in weapon skills it seems)
      Additionally, while under the effects there is no decay over time)

    Absorb-ATB* (Absorb attributes)
     →Used in conjunction with Nether Void you are able to absorb two status effects.

    Just in case, we confirmed with the lead dev. once more and he said that they are finalizing the adjustments, but as long as there are no major problems it will be implemented as stated. Yay!

    seems to be very good if you ask me. Over 20% increase in both regular hits and WS is pretty insane for half the HP taken. I hope the duration is long and perhaps souleater counts as damage received as well.

    Ya, this is what I thought we were left with after the last major version update, I was hoping the Sept major version update was going to be the first chunk implementation. Those whiny fucknuts really pissed me off with that.
