    Our ls has lost 5 key members in the last 6 weeks which account for 3/4ths of our emps including our only shield. Everyone does the duo/trio thing and it's impossible to get even a party of six together. Hopefully this announcement will spur some action to get going on voidwatch. I really don't want to transfer, I don't want to level pld and go through the colorless souls stage just to give us a tank, and I damn sure don't want to 'apply' to a linkshell so I can be lower on the totem pole than an aurore ninja or a thf that doesn't know which hand triplus/twillight daggers go in.

    Despite the difficulties in 'getting in on the ground floor' of an event that most good ls's have already advanced on, I'm glad for the change. Literally sat in mog for the last two weeks playing civilization because there wasn't anything to do.

    Bored. Thought i'd do some translation about the weapon posting for you people:

    Good Afternoon!

    Although we've posted information about the second chapter of voidwatch today, it looks like some new weapons are also going to be included in the next version update.

    Although the names haven't been decided upon yet, because the graphics and stats have been decided we decided to make a movie. (Please acknowledge that because of this we did not include the stats in a screenshot of the item with its help text). (Manque's note: They did this with the Arch DL sword and I guess they feel the need to point out that this movie is different).

    According to rumor, the great-katana seems to have some kind of hidden effect...

    Hm, all the new Voidwatch mobs seem to come with adds.

    Another anti-lowman addition I imagine.

    It might just be me, but the "adds" looked like they were part of the monster. Only because of the way they were lined up...
    Possibly, some of the TP moves come from the "adds" rather than the boss?
    Would be a pretty interesting concept anyway. I might be a bit disappointed if they're just usual adds. xD

    Could be like the annoying tarus in the Tenzen fight, but adds are probably more likely. Can't really say I give a flying flip about the weapons since they're basically old shit with particle effects going. Though, the "severe damate" has me curious, wondering if might be a randomly triggering SA-like effect in terms of damage boost on a crit.

    I don't see the difference between "Severe Damage" and a relic proc or ODD, unless it also grants some kind of cRatio/pDIF bonus.

    Well, the adds could be trigged via TP moves like some of the mobs of old or it could also be continuous adds if SE feels really dickish. There is nothing like 4-6 mobs that cant be crowd controlled in addition to the main NM to deal with.

    What I really hope if they fix the shitty drop rates or sneak in a damn point system. -.-

    Im willing to bet it'll be either Triple or Quad damage. Anything lower and they may as well of used "Occ. Deals double damage"

    Or occasionally deals X% damage of the mobs current HP but doesn't work on mobs that con impossible to gauge.

    Either way, Of note, Camate just made 2 posts in the THF thread. Its nothing informative but he expresses his ongoing efforts for the THF community. It made me a bit happier to know how much he's doing for us.

    Perhaps they come in for a WS when the main mob does something, then leave, like Staggershell/Softshell in Campaign.

    Couple of notes for Besigned

    IS rewards are being adjusted:

    • Amount of IS received for turning in an Archaic Mirror to an Imperial Gate Guard will increase
    from 200 → 1000
    • Amount of IS received for successfully bringing back the Astral Candescence will increase
    from 1000 → 10,000
    • Amount of IS received (base + bonus) when rescuing a prisoner will change as outlined below:

    • Base amount
    Serpent Generals: 150→1,500
    Other: 100→1,000
     
    • Depending on your rank you will receive a bonus as well:
    Private Second Class: None
    Private First Class: 5→50
    Superior Private: 10→100
    Lance Corporal: 15→150
    Corporal: 20→200
    Sergeant: 25→250
    Sergeant Major: 30→300
    Chief Sergeant: 35→350
    Second Lieutenant: 40→400
    First Lieutenant/Captain: 50→500

    Not that it makes any difference, but they're reducing the costs of Einherjar Lamps from 180 to 60 (or maybe 90)k.

    I'm hoping they've got more in store for the Einherjar update than that... like letting us go every day!

    I think not being able to sub Innin was just a big "Fuck you" to Warriors, every other job just got fucked by it in the process. I know that I should be quoting Hazalon's Razor ("Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"), but I can't help but to take this shit personally. I fucking dispise two-handed weapons.

    Don't get your hopes up too much. They reduced the cost for Dynamis and Limbus (twice) in the past but didn't change the reentry timer.
