    I'm gonna miss my retarded whm automaton casting blindna on me at 30 hp and doing 0 dmg magic mortar light skillchains off of victory smite when T. switch is down, my blm automaton casting drain/aspir over nukes. Good times

    Well getting prot shell and haste from robot is nice. Be good for farming dynamis. If they added some TH attachement ahaha!
    Seperate recast is awesome too. Stupid robot would cast 1 spell every 20 seconds, now maybe it can spam diff stuff.

    And summoners are great already, disposable pets makes lowmaning and zerging stuff easy.

    Separate timers was a much needed adjustment. It was very silly to have the auto casting -na's on you while your HP was low, and then you'd have to wait for another spell decision to see if it would cure you. If you got blinded, poisned, etc, you were going to get -na'd again while at low HP.

    My only concern is that the Auto will be casting too frequently and I hope that any recast timer overlap doesn't cause quirky behavior with the AI.

    PUPdate changes to automaton casting AI should have been done a long time ago.. but this is good. They're explicitly separating timers on various spells.

    I only hope that you can control the maton from casting enhancing shit cos if its like fellows they just blow all their MP on that nonsense..

    The attachment boosts are really nice. Its like they finally listen to the players in terms of scaling certain attachments according to skill and making armor plate pdt instead of def. this definitely opens up automaton's survivability options and gives Valor and even greater edge in terms of tanking for you (its gonna be cake in Abyssea with atma now)...

    sadly i don't play pup anymore.. but these are very nice changes indeed.

    new jugs are nice too. wasnt expecting turtle for sure...

    ...now where are my new SMN stuff..?

    What? unlike NPCs, our autos can restore their MP simply by deactivate/activate trick once a minute. We don't have to worry about MP lol, and that's not even including mana tanks for refresh, mana converter, economizer, and power cooler, nor does it include atmas in abyssea. <_<; And if they're gonna be blowing their MP buffing party members along with curing and status curing them, chances are you aren't going to be meleeing yourself, but instead are subbing WHM or SCH and helping the auto heal, so it's not like you have to worry about deactivating just as it get shit with an AoE, and having a 20 minute recast tim....oh wait, we got deus ex automata now, we don't even have to worry about that. lulz. And if your solo, 2 30 minute duration spells, and a few enhancing spells aren't going to be a big deal on MP, and certainly nothing your attachments can't handle.

    And I'm very interested in just how strong my pup is gonna be with these adjustments. Despite all the haters on how weak pup is, I've never had someone in any exp party or endgame event (which includes everything but ye old HNM kings, and I guess voidwatch since lolvoidwatch) tell me I was a weak useless job or subpar, then after it ended, repeat that nonsense. Usually it was more along the lines of "How do I unlock pup?" :D

    All the PUP stuff looks really promising, and I approve. I am more concerned about having to relearn the AI quirks again since recast timers, spell priority, and order of maneuvers up to cast what spells it casts will be changed with all the new stuff. "Quick cast aspir, I have dark maneuver up! "Nope, gonna cast dread spikes cause you also have wind maneuver up!" That kind of stuff I foresee.

    And I kind of got a WTF reaction from needing an ability to remove status ailments from the puppet. Are people just incapable of macroing AF1 feet for repair which already does that? I mean, I am pretty sure the notes said it will consume an oil by using that ability, which repair does with AF1 feet as well. Are we fighting things that will really need two of these abilities? Maybe certain situations call for as much status cure help as possible but if that is the case, shouldnt you reexamine what you are attempting to fight? I dont personally see the merit of targeting malboros while soloing as PUP. Just my thoughts.

    Please no, that's... that's... not what PUP is for...

    Even if your automaton is healing, you should never sub a mage job. There's a reason you can reconfigure your automaton in the field. You'll be doing one of two things, at any time. Punching shit, or standing back. When you're punching shit, you can use the WHM automaton, but if you're forced to stand back, chances are whatever you're fighting requires real WHMs and your automaton's cures will be a drop in the bucket. So when you can't engage, use the BLM automaton.

    Shame that there's still no means of macroing PUP attachments. Can't just quickly get out WHM to buff you, then swap to Sharpshot while in a group.

    Well, it would depend on what your doing, eventwise. I wouldn't sub whm or sch if I was gonna be sometimes meleeing, sometimes nuking, etc, like in abyssea with a group normally... but I also wouldn't bother with whm bot in the first place because we have healers. If there's no healer though, and we need one, then hell yes I'm going to sub whm to back up my automaton's healing with my own. Pup can be a surprisingly good healer provided you can haste the tank and they aren't an idiot, and provided the monster doesn't spam throat stab type moves or other crazy shit that only a curebombing WHM can handle. But there's still that pesky recast timer on the autos cures, so that's where sometimes the master has to step in and fill in the gap, which isn't terribly hard with cure IV and divine seal.

    TD:LR shit's situational

    And dear god yes, we need attachment/blue magic setting macros.

    PUP is amazing already. I know a PUP who outnukes BLM in great gear all the time.

    The ability to store "sets" of Blue magic that you could set as a group would be nice, even if you could only do like, 1-3 of them.

    It's like the people who macro their 2hr, and have it within the same block as their main macros.
