Wow so much butt hurt over the lack of use of a contraction... No way this would be an 'issue' if Camate said "You'll be happy to know..."
thats the beauty of how intricate english can be..
just using the full form instead of the contraction conveys that much more forcefulness which can be taken the wrong way...
Again, and I just essentially made this same post four posts up, I was just trying to make a joke about what Camate said.... I know what he meant. My point was that only a small fraction of the people I know actually enjoy and care about FoV and GoV content, so I doubt most people will care one way or the other if there will be more FoV/GoV areas; hence, if Camate was instead commanding us to be happy with his statement, it would have made more sense. And, just to reiterate, I know this was not the case.
Is everyone so bored that you have nothing better to do than to argue over semantics? lol
FFXI 2.0 = Last year when abyssea was released. Some of the new videos on that youtube channel are great. The one with the Orcs & Behemoth running after the tarus as they scream & squeel. Awesome. Lol.
When is this game going to have worthwhile solo content again? Not dualboxing.
Nothing since campaign?
Logged in the other night, and there just wanst anything to do. Didnt SE mention dailies of some sort?
Basic magian weapons and thats about it?
That's what I was thinking lol...
And yeah, I kinda think of Abyssea and the level cap raises as 2.0 also since it really rocked a lot of the fundamentals of the game as it was before Abyssea.
I doubt WoE is the "daily reward system" that was discussed previously so hopefully there's still something coming to that end.
I hope you guys weren't holding your breath.
Voidwatch drops will stay in individual caskets.
Haven't they already said in the past that they had no plans of changing the method of VW drop distribution? At least this time they were a little more clear about the path forward (shortening of battles, higher drop rates).
I think so, but maybe they like repeating themselves for emphasis. Regardless, there it is.
I've said this in another thread, but the only issue I think most people have is the terrible drop rate on the rare/ex bodies and HQ weapons. Turn those drops into straight drops (with the same drop rate, like 2-4%) off the NM rather then pool drops, and I think the system is solved entirely... the drop rate of everything else is reasonable enough that you should get it sooner or later given enough repeats, and the current distribution system is great for crafters who previously had no good ways to get craft materials since mining, logging, etc., were all but extinct. It also allows the possibility of multiple of same drop to be distributed in a fight which to my knowledge has never happened before in any end game event outside Omega/Ultima (and even there it was limited to two). The fundamental purposes of the system are fairly clear; to reward rather than punish teamwork, and to get rid of the interpersonal drama involving drop distribution. They solved the first point, but the drama has now just been redirected at the dev team because of the stupidly low drop rate of the handful of items people really want.
What is the real issue with Voidwatch then? Cuz my group does it and has a blast, only to be rewarded with crappy drops despite full procs....
But how else are they going to be special snowflakes while afk in Port Jeuno!?! Thats the fucking main culprit when it comes to masochists in this game. People who sit there and think skill = getting lucky on 1% drop rate loot.
Another endgame content endeavor that doesn't use a points system = fail. How many players would bitch about voidwatch if you got points for each kill and the higher the tier you go the more points it gives then everyone is always working toward a goal plus getting rewarded as they go. I mean shit they could of even made proc's give you bonus points and it would still be a better system than what they have currently.
Don't even bring up "you get curor!" that shit is a joke to get without even stepping into voidwatch.
Once you cap out on points you won't do it any more.
