And for another suggestion the ability points for an ability should be doubled if it's not for the class it came from. Quick example would be Shock Spikes would require 6 ability points to equip on something other than Conj.

If they change the current abilities to fit the new specializations they can just make them unsubbable.

Well, there's no "off-topic" area so it's not like it's in a wrong section... what's the problem? We have a thread like this here in BG.

I think ya'll being too harsh on some of these people too. It's no BG, but it sure as hell is better than what I was expecting. Some people are ignorant on many of these subjects, but I don't know what did you expect really. They haven't thought about these things that much, and I think most of them do understand what you're saying after a while when explained properly.

I think it's a lot better than the XI forums. The only thing I hate about some of these people is the "axe this, axe that" mentality (it happens everywhere, not just there though). If it's not hindering the game why should it be removed? Did the mere existence of auto-group feature and Expeditionary Force somehow hurt XI? >_>

The issue is I really haven't seen that much of a difference between using an ability on the class it came from on another.

It is noticeable for recast timers and durations. If you cast protect on non-CNJ, it's duration is much shorter. Using P. Barbs on non-THM has a big recast timer. And this is because it's based on some %increase of some crap when off-class, which is retarded because low recast spells/abilities will have negligible differences off-class, and the same with durations. I swear SE sucks at everything sometimes.

I actually attempted to read a few posts on there today, I should have known better. I read DoctorMog's "Don't change a thing!!!!" thread and I think I almost had an aneurysm. I honestly can't wait for them to finish with the class and battle changes, the two most controversial (outside of jumping, seriously, wtf?), so these die-hard fanboys that are so against any sign of progress can decide they hate it and leave the game already. I just honestly can not possibly see how, short of just plain SE dick riding, anyone could think this game is "just fine"

Hey man, the FF series is the best, period. XI and XIV have the best communities out of every MMO. XIV will be just fine, as soon as people stop being sheep and come play the game and enjoy its awesomeness.

Probably, hope to god these guys shut up or rage quit soon. Sadly Trabia is turning into the next general for stupidity, can't believe I'm on one of the server with the most LS drama and there isn't even competitive endgame yet FFS.
