I have both bots and I've never had a issue, in fact I've ran them at the same time on 2 dif chars on the same PC and they both seem to work as their intended functions will allow. As i really will not support wiz or the use of his over another being as "the one" is way superior but it was attached to a account given to me from a friend. Would i say i trust wizbot def not everything i've seen or researched in regards to him his business and his bot seems shady i use a old pc when i bot so idc really about the "Virus" which coincidentally does not appear anywhere on my computer which I've scanned over and over again until i was completely satisfied my PC was clean. Hasn't anyone given any thought to the possibility that this is just a flame post from a whiny kid wiz blisted from his site or canceled his bot usage. It seems to me wiz does this often. idk random thought and putting it out there that not "everyone" as it's seeming to be put out there is having this problem.
The trojan copy was probably uploaded within the last few weeks so if you have an older copy then yea chances are your not gonna have the trojan on your system. Also, the latest window defender detects one of the trojan and automatically removes it.
He often forces you to update the Elitebot seems it's down or reworked i do download these updates otherwise you can't use the bot wouldn't he include this code into one of these updates? Also i use windows xp with no firewall or anything on it as i dont use it for any reason other than ffxi i have a main pc i use for iternet browsing.
The pc i use for ffxi has never been online other than to ffxiah.com wiki and wizbot site to download bot and scripts etc.
So he forces all his users to update to the trojan version? That is amazing. Real piece of work. If you want more evidence and actual testimonials of people who were infected by elite-xi/wizbot or whatever it's called now just read the ffxiah post. Also, he took down his post defending that his program has no trojan in it. Guess he finally got tired of lying. Also funny how he doesn't allow his paying customers to even question him about the trojan claims. He purposefully censors and blocks all posts about it. After scamming all the out of more money with the server merges and fake selling his business to himself and making people rebuy he finally came up with a new business model. Selling trojan infected programs for $20/yr to be used to ddos all his competitors out of business so the only option IS to buy his crap.
I'm not defending i'm just saying i use it do the updates and have no real security since i really only play ffxi on it and it's fine, i've yet to find anything on my pc that doesn't belong there and i've scanned with elitebot running still nothing. So really just putting it out there.

There are a number of "wizbot" practices that should set off alarms.
1) He forces you to update. Not from within your bot, by re downloading whatever he puts on his site as the current version which requires you to login.
2) The shady Wiz -> C0der transition.
"Hi, I'm making money off this but now I'm disinterested so I'm going to pass it on to another person. I'm no longer responsible for anything. Thanks for your money and goodbye!"
"Hi I'm C0der and I look forward to working with you. You've noticed at the bottom of your bot, you now have an expiration notice. That means you have to pay me more, now, or when it expires for continued use. Nice to meet you!"
3) The time he stated he accidentally deleted all of his records so you had to resend him a PM with the PayPal transaction numbers.
4) The initial process of arranging payment via paypal, THEN pming him to let him know you just paid him and want your subscription registered to X character on Y server with a 24 hour delay. A friend couldn't even use the bot for a week because wiz mispelled bismarck and proceeded to blame the player for the error. As if there weren't 100 other players on that server ....
5) Oh yes. How can we forget the time the list of users leaked.
6) Op's reported trojans.
There comes a point when you have to sit back and think... "there's an awful lot of evidence pointing toward a conclusion contrary to the "benefit of the doubt" ideology. Would your company/employer do business with someone that has this kind of track record?
{Hmmm}
Um...what the hell are people even botting at this point? Trading pop items to ???'s? Fishing or something?
Also, I'm incredulous at the claims a bot dev is unethical. ;P
With all this talk I'm sad that my access was taken away with the whole 'sketchy wiz->c0der' switch. It had a good stun bot![]()
I'm pretty sure I was getting CC'd on Heqet by a bot. Every time Heqet would pop and I got claim, the pearl-less WHM that was following around some player would lock on to Heqet and follow us all the way back to where I'd fight it. It was like clockwork.
Almost like they were getting a TOD.
If you are dual / tri boxing Auto-Target follow works wonders for getting chars around. so if they were doing something else and didnt want to actually run after you they lock on follow there character so it can follow you to wherever you are pulling heqet. Which where do people actually pull heqet too? do people still have trouble with him? Just cleave all of him + adds same time and its cake.
Did they follow it till it died, then ran back to Heqet's Aery, or did it run off into a wall, then run back to Heqet's Aery? Though, Tribe's question matters too...how far did you pull it? If you fought it at the water, or just up the ramp to Apkallu, there shouldnt be much need to follow it to begin with, since you shouldnt really have to relocate for ToD.
